I do like both. But, for tone of the film and the era I'll go for 'GoldenEye'.

Best theme tune to fit the tone of the movie #2:

'GoldenEye'

OR

'You Know My Name'

??

You Know My Name

Better David Arnold composed romantic theme:

"Paris and Bond" from the TND soundtrack

or

"Elektra's theme" from the TWINE soundtrack

?

Paris And Bond from Tomorrow Never Dies

Better main titles sequence:

or

Sorry to say, but M.Binder had run out of ideas by LTK. CR had the advantage of being a different take by someone who respected Binder's style.

Better Bond endings:

With a girl in his arms

or

Alone and bereft

?

With a girl in his arms.

Bond film/Bond actor/Bond girl mixup:

Timothy Dalton as Bond and Maria Grazia Cucinotta as Fiona Volpe in Thunderball

or

Daniel Craig as Bond and Maryam d'Abo as Helga Brandt/SPECTRE No. 11 in You Only Live Twice?

Ooh. Both good, but I do love Maria go I'll take her and Dalton together.

Do you prefer pre-titles:

Long, like 'TWINE' and 'SF' to deliver something crucial to the film

OR

Short, like 'GF' or 'AVTAK' to tease us into the film itself

??

As long as it's good I don't care but for this question I'll go with the longer pre-titles although The World Is Not Enough was probably a little too long. Skyfall's pre-titles was okay though.

Better main titles sequence:

On Her Majesty's Secret Service

or

GoldenEye

?

I have to say I enjoyed 'OHMSS' - a nice idea to relive the past but make it relevant to things. Great theme too.

Gut feeling - Do you think 'SPECTRE' will be a homage movie:

YES: A film on its own but full of nods to the past and memorable moments modified for the new era

OR

NO: It's marketed as classic Bond with evident iconic moments, but it will not be a check-list of the past

NO, it will not be a checklist of the past.

In honor of Sir Rog's 0088th birthday today, which is the better speedboat chase from Moonraker:

The Bondola chase in the canals of Venice

or

The Amazon river boat chase with Jaws and the hang glider escape?

Amazon. There was the Glastron Scimitar and no pigeons.

Better car chase from Moore's era:

AMCs in Bangkok (TMWTGG)

or

Citroen & Peugeots near Madrid (FYEO)

?

AMCs for sure, had some great stunt-driving.

Best pre-title sequence from the Moore era:

'Octopussy'

OR

'A View To A Kill'

??

Since everyone whinges about 'California Girls' I suppose it goes to OP.

Best Moore ending:

Bond and Goodnight on a slow boat from China,

Bond and Anya floating up to M, Grey and Gogol,

or

Bond and Octopussy floating away

?

Definitely gotta go with Bond and Anya floating on board the ship in TSWLM..

Best Craig ending (thus far, since we haven't seen SPECTRE yet..)

Shooting Mr. White in the knee and the "Bond, James Bond" line in Casino Royale, Bond abandoning Vesper's Algerian love knot in the snow in Quantum of Solace, OR  Bond getting his assignment from Mallory, as the new "M" in Skyfall?

Shooting Mr. White in the knee and the "Bond. James Bond." line in CR.

Better Roger Moore double feature to watch in honor of his 0088th Birthday:

TSWLM/MR a.k.a. the Richard Kiel double feature

or

TMWTGG/OP a.k.a. the Maud Adams double feature?

"Careless".. a scene in which Q throws a temper tantrum at Bond being careless and destroying the DB10?? :P

Will Dave Bautista's Mr. Hinx, be one of those virtually silent henchmen, who's actions speak for themselves OR No, he'll have some interesting and menacing dialogue?

He's supposed to be 'very intelligent', so he'll have to speak to convey that.

Better merciless kill:

Dent ("You've had your six.")

Sandor ("What a helpful chap.")

or

Silently potting that sniper in the back before entering the reno house in Venice

?

Which is most exciting to you...the run up to a new Bond film being released, with all the trailers, posters, title song and soundtrack being unleashed) OR...the run up to Christmas morning? :D

Well, when you put it that way...

I enjoy Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day, but I enjoy opening night more than the agonizing run-up.

The only problem is Nov 6 is also the day that the next three-year wait starts...

Better PTS:

TWINE

or

Skyfall

?

Which Bond film/Moneypenny actress mix up would you rather see:

Caroline Bliss as Miss Moneypenny in Die Another Day

or

Samantha Bond as Miss Moneypenny in Licence To Kill?

'Try'.

There's nothing more evocative of class and sophistication than a John Barry lounge combo.

Hotter bikini model:

Jinx Johnson

or

Rosie Carver

?

Better Bond/Bond girl/Bond film mixup:

Timothy Dalton as Bond and Carole Bouquet as Vesper in Casino Royale

or

George Lazenby as Bond and Sophie Marceau as Melina in For Your Eyes Only?

I would have loved to have seen George in FYEO, if only for the poignancy of hearing him say "Goodbye, Countess."

Better Kevin McClory might-have-been:

George Lazenby in Never Say Never Again

or

Timothy Dalton in Warhead 2000

?

I'll pick Timothy Dalton in Warhead because of this fan art:

aac0a24a2fd839371d754b1ff95e84b4.jpg

Better TSWLM/TND cast switch/mixup:

TND with TSWLM's cast:

Roger Moore as Bond

Caroline Munro as Paris McKenna Carver

Curt Jurgens as Elliot Carver

Barbara Bach as Wai Lin

Shane Rimmer as Jack Wade
Richard Kiel as Stamper
Milton Reid as Dr. Kaufman

or

TSWLM with TND's cast:

Pierce Brosnan as Bond

Teri Hatcher as Naomi

Jonathan Pryce as Karl Stromberg

Michelle Yeoh as Agent Triple X

Joe Don Baker as Commander Carter

Gotz Otto as Jaws

Vincent Schiavelli as Sandor?

Has to be 'TND' with 'TSWLM' cast!

Have you read any reviews for 'SPECTRE'?

YES - I need as much as I can to prepare me for the film!

OR

NO - No risks taken, I'm staying clean.
