I'm betting that it's the ceramic bulldog. It's the right size to fit in the box, and if Eve turns out to be Moneypenny, she'd be in a position to salvage a trinket from M's office.

Wow. I've really improved on my posts, haven't I? Maybe we'll never know what's in the case like Pulp Fiction, but I don't think that's 007's style.

It's driving me mental what it could be...and who's it for? Bond or Eve...or someone else?!

Hehe, I love it. I was thinking it had some kind of back story to it. Someone suggested M's nick name could be the bulldog. Maybe its just like the rabbits foot in MI3 which we never find out about.

I’d say it is an electronic storage device of some kind – I think Empire are on the money with Silva, computers and information.

It’s some secret that is best buried deep for the good of Britain. Bond puts it in the safe keeping of Moneypenny – no better place – and turns to look at the flag and the Houses of Parliament contemplating all that he has done for his country.

The End of Skyfall, but James Bond will return.

That does make a lot of sense Shrublands. I can't really think of anything else besides a blackbox recorder from a plane but they don't look the same at all.

If that's the case S K Y F A L L, I can picture the scene now...

Eve hands the box to Bond

EVE: M wanted you to have this. She would have given them to you personally, were she here.

Bond takes the box and opens it, looking inside. A small smile starts to crack over his face.

EVE: They are from someone called Vesper. Do you know them?

BOND: I do. Thank you Eve. Thank you.

Bond takes out a note inside and reads it.

BOND: "James. The time has come for you to get your balls back. You've earnt them. Vesper collected them from the barge you were tortured in as she knew you couldn't be the man you were without them. Now stick around, England will need you again soon no doubt. 'M'"

Eve smiles softly and Bond holds the box under his arm, looking out to the skyline of the city he has saved for the country he loves.

Now THAT will be a tease, although I doubt it'd be something as a major plot device for Bond 24. Although you never know with Bond...!

Good idea S K Y F A L L.

Maybe not major but the intro for the PTS for the next one, the bulldog or something for the new M? A set of keys....

But i could see him open the box smirk and say "For Queen and Country, Mum." que music!

I'm still thinking it's like the brief case in Pulp Fiction, and we'll be left to make up our own minds... though I highly doubt it.

Was watching a bit of DN and the strange thought came to me, could it be the Beretta M takes from Bond in DN? Makes no sense right?

Its strange how much denial I'm in about the DC films being a reboot to the series but I think of them as more like standalone reboot type sequels, the best example I can think of is the; 'Hulk' (2003) and 'The Incredible Hulk.' (2008) Its just a new Bond is all, its just a new Bond.

Perhaps it's an eBay package, hinting that Bond has discovered where Q truly gets his gadgets from.

The Incredible Hulk has nothing to do with the Hulk. Aside from being based on the same property.

Maybe the box will be opened at the end, to Bond shouting "Don't look at it!"

"It's BEAUTIFUL!"
