Agreed. Although if that was their aim, they've certainly achieved it.But there are other ways of using that photo and the watch.
It’s as if they want to inspire “Man finds giant watch on London rooftop” jokes.

Thanks for posting those, that top one I absolutely love. I think that will be a real stand out fight scene.
Reminds me of the fight with Chang in MR.

Stop! Hammer Time!
Ha! That would certainly make for one interesting gun barrel scene

...
I had assumed that the inquest scene was a more intimate affair, with just a few officials around a table. But this looks like a public hearing, with dozens of spectators in pews. Isn't M's case supposed to be a top-secret ultra-sensitive matter of national security? This looks like a wedding.

Very pleased that it echos Timothy Dalton - I wonder if this was Craig's thought in his take on it? His favourite actor doing the pose maybe?
Can't wait to see this on the big screen with THAT music..well I hope it's THAT music they use, unless they do an exciting take like 'Licence To Kill'? The sharp bursts from the teaser trailer will work pretty damn well with this gunbarrel and think, and then as he shoots it cuts to the electronic Bond theme also heard in the teaser, before fading out to set the tone for a big, bold and dramatic return for Bond!

That's so much better for Craig, rather than the rushed 'QOS' stance.

I really hate the electronic Bond theme, I kinda hope they use the classic one , it feels more Grand,The electronic theme in my opinion is just a lame way to attract the younger crowd

I love it. The classic one is great and all but it's nice to hear a fresh spin on the Bond theme. I wish Newman composed it. It would be awesome to have that playing during the Shanghai office building scene.

I know Newman didn't compose it, I said "I wish" he did. I also know that thecasinoroyale is talking about using it in the gunbarrel, and I agree that it wouldn't work in a gunbarrel, but I think it's a good piece of Bond music.

Maybe I´ve been a bit too trigger-happy. There ARE similar photos in that book - but maybe the photos that were posted by Mr.TeddyBear and DominicGreene were not taken from that source but from youtube-videos.
I apologize if I have ruffled feathers - but we should be careful nevertheless.

Yeah, I wouldn't particularly like it being used in elsewhere in the film , but I guess I wouldn't mind it. But I would absolutely hate it in the GunBarell

Now that´s retro. Almost film noir. Bogart comes to mind.
