If it is true, it looks fine. Although, this looks like it's from a film premiere, or something. How recent is this?

I could be wrong, but it seems like I have seen that picture before so I don't think this is a new picture.

Same here - this photo is taken from a film premiere months ago.

And even if Craig has been spotted with a beard recently it does only prove one thing: he does not want to be recognized so easily right now in order to avoid being questioned about BOND 23.

This is true; it's on the photo websites.

His hair is a bit shorter than it was for Quantum.

I love that Spielberg wore his Legion of Honour award to the Brussels premiere :)

After an intial knee-jerk reaction to seeing Bond with a beard. Ive slightly come around to the idea to be honest.
I mean Daniel looks good, very rugged.
Why though would Bond have a beard??? He had one on DAD becasue he got tortured...so what would provoke him to do it again.
I think Bond must have retired from mi6, and he has to come back after Quantum begin bombing up London (we know Vauxhall bridge is getting blown up). Maybe Bond was sacked after he went after Quantum on his own, after all we know the British were quite prepared to work with Greene, and more importantly the British Government refuse to recgonise the existence of Quantum in QOS. Maybe Bond 23 is when they make there presenece known worldwide?

There is a bit to much grey in that beard for this "younger take" on Bond. They'll probably need to dye it a bit.

Maybe Craig was spotted with a beard a week or so ago, and that's how the rumours started up. Maybe Craig isn't even donning a beard for Bond 23. Although, saying that, you would think he'd have shaved for a premiere.

I sincerely doubt this is anything more than tabloid conjecture. If Bond's sporting a beard in '23, it won't be for more than a scene or sequence. Right up there with 'Bond won't wear a dinner jacket in Casino Royale!' - which, apparently, actually meant 'He'll spend half the bloody film in one.'

Craig likes to sport a beard in between films, but it really makes him a lot older. Maybe if it serves purpose it might work for Bond (I kinda liked Brosnan's beard in DAD :-))

How much do you want to bet the guys at the Sun or whatever publication wrote about the facial hair simply caught a recent glimpse of Craig via a paparazzi photo or something of the like and wrote up the story based on that. He is capable of shaving on short notice you know. It's nothing.

Also, look at roughly :56. Same thing.

Their story is that a man's beard has a bit of grey in it? Good grief.

Stiill, nice to be seen as more important than Spileberg's new movie (which I'm really looking forward to, by the way). Jamie Bell wants a word with his tailor, though; might have overdone the shoulders a bit there.

Being in his 40s, he looked OLD at the BFI London Premiere of Tintim. I dislike that beard.

...Heaven forbid a 43 year old man have some grey hair on his face. It's impressive he still has that much hair on his head.

He would appear to have more hair on the top of his head than Connery did at the same age.

And a smaller waistline.

Who cares if he has a beard right now. It proves nothing, given that filming has yet to begin. He could shave that thing off his face in 5 minutes, and he has days to go until the cameras are supposed to roll.

The man likes to grow a pre-filming beard. Who cares? He's done it before. He knows he's going to have to shave everyday for the next year basically. I'd grow facial hair before filming too.

We are hearing in australians newspapers its only a moustache and the movies called "Skyfall". MGM is cutting costs so theres less big fights, not as many country destinations, and not as many actors either.

If Craig has facial hair, maybe the it is in there for a reason rather than a whim. When Brosnan wore a beard in DIE ANOTHER DAY, it was because he had been in a North Korean prison for fourteen months. Maybe Craig wears a beard because he has been on a long-term assignment and does not have regular access to a razor or some such.

Craig?

Man in his mid 40s has grey hair in his beard.

Man in his mid 40s wears a tie with a v-neck jumper and jeans.

Man in his mid 40s with short-leg issues rolls his jeans up like a 70s/80s hardcase ron (Dick Emery, any of you old enough to remember Brits?)

And he still looks like what he is, a cool-as-[censored] movie star.

I could try that look pretty precisely. And I'd look like a middle-aged father of two with zero fashion sense.

As they said about Bond in TB, on Craig even the kitchen sink looks good.

And some get excited about a little bit of facial hair?

Still think it´s his private idea - hacks saw it and reported it as truth about BOND 23.

I expected Daniel Craig to keep the hair that little bit lengthier, as in Quantum. Looked classier and more Bondian. Casino Royale had the younger element.

If...that beard is for Bond then it's obviously to signify a break away of some sort. E.g. Bond has been in a Tibetan monastery for five years since the events of QOS. That sounds like a great and highly original route, no?

Personally I think the guy is just sporting some healthy holiday growth.

We shall soon know as once filming starts next month, set pictures should be popping up here and there.

Pierce had a beard in DAD but that was necessary for continuity. I hope they don't drastically change his overall appearance just for the sake of doing so.
