Thank you for the update, Goodnight.

Most likely this Packham burke will consider every day of his incarceration to be a grave injustice. Perhaps he'll lash out at another inmate and get his sentence prolonged.

Let's just be glad that he was identified and arrested. This whole matter would have been even more unbearable for you & yours if this prat had just walked away and never been punished.

Makes you wish the 00s were real, and that they operated domestically...

Yes, thanks for the update, Goodnight. I'm sure Andy will master the challenges of his future. He's been through a nightmare and came out alive at the other end, no small feat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him!

Very devastating. Great that he's improving and justice has been served. :)

Thank you for the support my dears, you are all very kind.

I've finally found the article from The Daily Echo (newspaper for the South East of England). Bear in mind this was on the front page that day...people won't forget that face.

The article also contains a picture of Andy when he was in hospital, as well as a mugshot of the ugly mug Packham.

Have fun in prison ya silly little munter...

I came into this thread late, but I am so sorry for your friend! It is really depressing how violent our society has become. I hope he gets better! :)

I appreciate your kind words.
I thought I had already posted here about the sentence Packham recieved, but it appears I didn't.
He got 8 years for beating Andrew and another 2 for an attack a few weeks earlier.
It's a pity with British justice he won't serve 10 years but probably only 5.

Anyway enjoy your time, and don't drop the soap you bastard.

Funny that, the Tories said they would build more prisions, but soon as they got into office they announced that they would be chucking more people out of prision.

Of course you would say that BEFORE the election!
Liars.

I don't think it's worth the effort writing to my MP, she's far too preoccupied with chairing various pointless committees and meetings to discuss how to combat stuff like online bullying.

You did! Earlier in the thread. But it's well worth reposting.

Don't bother with your MP Goodnight, they're probably waiting to take a pay-off by appearing in a reality TV show than actually working to do their job and right the wrongs and help bring justice to their areas.
