...Blood Stone was great...

I enjoyed Blood Stone as well. Nice to see there's someone who appreciates that game as well. ;) The only flaw I had with the game is that it was just too short.

The comment by the recent posters who said that the PS2 version of QoS was better piqued my interest enough to watch a walkthrough on YouTube of the first 4 levels. Wow, what a difference. The PS2 version really takes the emphasis of shooting compared to the PS3 version. That's not to say that there still isn't a goodly amount, but certainly nothing compared to the PS3.

That's what I'd like to see more of - some exploring for stuff. Maybe Bond could be at a party and has to search for clues and interview people like in AVTAK or having a free running sequence (after all it's been in both of Craig's) where there are multiple paths. Goodness, the options are so plentiful for Bond, they really needn't fall back on stop-n-pop shooting.

I wish they would create games based on the older films.

OHMSS:

Level 1: Car chase/Beach fight/Another car chase.
Level 2: Snooping around the hotel/casino, fighting etc...
Level 3: Outside area of Draco's office.
Level 4: Breaking into the safe (stealth level).
Level 5: On the train before Bond meets Bunt, could have a few non Spectre nasties on, trying to kill Bond.
Level 6: Snooping around Piz Gloria.
Level 7: Action in Piz Gloria, with lots of shoot outs!
Level 8: Escape from Piz Gloria/Ski Chase
Level 9: Car chase, including the stock car racing!
Level 10: Chopper attack on Piz Gloria
Level 11: Back inside a burning Piz Gloria?

Then we could have a follow up game - Diamonds Are Forever, with a revenge element!

The game could open near enough the same as the film, however we learn that Bond actually uses Little Nellie to reach Marie (I'm sure that was her name?), crazy
imagination, but would make for a great opening, perhaps Tracey could be mentioned during the Little Nellie level, perhaps Q talking to Bond through a radio
device on the chopper? Then Bond lands, and it's Diamonds Are Forever as we know it?

E3's coming this week. Think we'll see anything? Anyone know?

Nothing so far, and Activision has left it off of it's list of games to be revealed. Don't know if they will be holding a press conference themselves, but hopefully we see something soon.

At the Sony conference, they showed a number of brand logos that are using Move and the golden 007 logo from GoldenEye was up there. GEWii ported to PS3? Probably just a placeholder logo though.

So the next Bond game will be using PS Move? I assume Kinect as well. Wonder if that means the TPS has been scrapped in exchange for a FPS. It would certainly translate to motion controls easier.

Yes; third person with a bit of driving, please. Blood Stone didn't get it quite right but approached it in the right way, I'd say.

I never understood why some people want driving sections in a third-person shooter. The mechanics are always....always crap. Driving works in a multi-player first-person shooter as a quick mode of transportation or a racing game where everything is built around the cars and the track.

Well make it not crap please :)

I'd like to see a 007 game where the player can pick & choose which Bond they can play as.

Nothing. Looks like EON are holding off for another press event of their own.

An interesting demo reel composed by a guy who worked on Blood Stone featuring some NEW animations for a Daniel Craig Bond character. What you'll notice is that in one scene the agressive takedown move implemented is in line with what we saw in that other animators demo reel in December, as is the enemy with the bomb suit running at the beginning. Some of the parkour moves demonstrated also are fresh, and anyone who played BS will note a difference in the way Bond leaps, runs, and scales walls. Finally, at the bottom of the screen, the animator calls the work in the demo reel a "work in progress." It was put up 4 months ago. Interesting stuff

Damn near confirms the next game will be a TPS

The character model looks nothing like the one we saw in the other reel. It looks like it's almost an exact copy of the model from Bloodstone actually. I don't know how to feel about that. Like you said though, the reel appears to be 4 months old.

I thought as much too, right down to the same clothes (barring Bond's Madagascar-wear for the takedown). The animator has another demo reel, this time exclusively portraying his work on Bloodstone, which he identifies as being significantly older than the reel I posted above (to the point where he actually says in his description of the video " Much of this work is over a year old, so for a more up to date snapshot of where I'm at with my animation, please see my 2011 showreel, here: vimeo.com/20016870." Something is definitely up with that footage, even if it's purely for the animation.

I seem to recall the BloodStone announcement happening in early July. Thinking we should expect the same in the coming weeks, for a November release?

Well, at least it's recognized and I'm sure they put it there for a reason. ;) So, we will just have to wait and see...and hopefully it won't take as long as it takes since the last Bond movie came out to now. hehe
