Welcome to 2011

"New Year at midnight"

.
A midwinter day's dream

If you hadn't got the opportunity to visit any spectacular snowy locations at the moment, you have to look for the smaller details at your door. Sometimes the results could also be impressive. A few of the pics look like abstract art.

So look at "The Man Outside":

"Without words"

Posted Image

"Oceanic"

Posted Image

"The long and winding road"

Posted Image

"The eyes of the wolf"

Posted Image

"A bit like a winter landscape from Pieter Bruegel the Elder"

Posted Image

"Black & white"

Posted Image

"The land of Mordor"

Posted Image

"Looking for Blofeld's goons"

I know everybody will be disappointed that there are no beautiful women in these pictures :D . Instead you get pictures of a couple of projects I've been working on.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Cigar box guitars. Of course, I don't actually know how to play them- or tune them for that matter- but how cool is it to make your own instrument?

With spent brass as a bridge...
Posted Image

... and a nut, with eyebolts for tuners.
Posted Image

And it's electric.
Posted Image

The new one is functionally identical. Most of the differences are cosmetic. Roll pins instead of shell casings for the nut & bridge, and toothpick frets.

Now that you're dead, I imagine that beautiful room will soon be available. Where exactly were you executed?

Oh yes, sorry about your untimely death, MI6 won't rest until you are avenged, and the other usual and customary phrases... :)

That looks like one of those pictures where you can solve the murder from looking at it, like all the clues are there but hidden, Harry!

Precisely Terminus. I am part of a game that is coming out exclusively for PCs. It's being made by a British/German company and should be out in a couple of months time. I am of course not known as Harry Fawkes in the game and unfortunately I cannot give out any details as such. In fact if the producers found out that I posted these bits they'd skin me alive. Ah, well ... Dare all to win all!

Posted Image

My character in the game is a bit of a ... bad guy, which is truly not me at all. Believe me I am so soft at heart. Here's a couple more:

Posted Image

This is my Dracula look. I know, I know, I'm mad as a hatter!

Posted Image

And this is the wife I killed in the story! We actually never met whilst doing the whole thing.

Can't say more about it cause' as I said they'll have my head and I need it :D

Jack of all trades did you say? Me? No! Oh, if only I didn't join the bloody army mate. The world've been mine! :D

Thanks folks; the children are very upset, especially the twins as he was the same age as them (16 - admittedly quite old for a dog), extra brother etc.

My poor old pal, I'll miss him hugely.

Really sorry about that Jim. I know what it feels like to lose a great pal like that. Had to put mine down six years ago (he was very ill). Six years ago and a life times' full of God knows what, and I still miss the little terror believe me. Ah, well...

I lost my 16 year old American Eskimo last February. My daughter was 18 and my son was 5 when it happened. Yes, very tough indeed.

My thoughts go out to you and your family.
