Actually, the stone tablets were just a diversionary tactic. The actual "Scrolls of Fleming" are hidden in a hermedically sealed vault..."somewhere". There's been several attempts over the years to take them, hence my PPK has been put to use. They are moved to different secure locations throughout the world as a precaution on a somewhat regular basis.

When some interloper starts asking too many questions, they get sent to either the "Damn Cat" or Jim's "private room" in the north.....or, should they persist, Athena gets to give them a Barbi make-over. On the more devious side, we once had my good friend 004 bring over his family slides - now all digital (about 150K+ pics) - and a bottle of scotch. He starts with his baby pictures.

"I've had a particularly fascinating life....Would you like to hear about it?...You would..."

Nobody has made it past his fourth birthday party with the clown...They opt for the cyanide.

No....Really.

I thought there was a history of CBn story on the main page once with pics of the old site, but I can't find it now.

But you can see some page via Wayback Machine.

Wow, never really took the time to think about how much time has passed. I was in 10th grade in 2005!

It was fun looking back to when I had just become a member. Exciting times, I don't think we'll experience such extraordinary events for quite some time. Still, it's nice to be reminded that (hopefully) soon we'll have some fun speculation to discuss again as Bond 23 gets going.

There used to be a little punk 14-year-old that would go around the forums pretending to know a lot about Bond and starting needless flame wars. His name was Righty007. :P

I predate you by at least a year :P Hard to believe I started posting here when I was just 21 years old. Now 8 years later I'm still kicking.

I do remember one of my first threads was asking why Bruce Firestien screwed up TWINE so badly. Simon took issue with my blaming one person for "ruining" the film and we got into a bit of a flame war.

Ah...memories :)

It was interesting to see the ideas presented for Die Another Day and Casino Royale! Thanks for the answers

Any comments about my mighty chopper will be met with suitable retributive justice.

I love it when you agree to play the Paladin knight to my meek and frightened damsel.

I've been here for seven of them.

Wait, seven years?

Maybe it's time I went outside to play for a little while.

Outside? What is this mysterious 'outside' people always mention? Is is something to eat or something to look at? :D
Almost eight years along for the ride... 'nuff said.

I've been here for 5 years now. Got an account around when the "Final Four" Bond contenders were being discussed. I thought I was a big Bond fan back in 2005, but I'm 1,000 times more knowledgeable now mostly due to the high quality discussion that I read and participated in on here. Thanks for making this site so great...even when I'm not logged in, I'm always checking for news and reading forums.

I've been here from pretty much since the beginning. I've seen the forums and main page change many times. I've seen people have come and go. Sometimes we have drama amongst the ranks but that is only normal when we all share the same passion. Met some great friends over the years and I got to travel to Bond events with them which is something I will never forget. The expertise on this site is second to none. There is always somebody who is an expert on a specific 007 area.

All and all CBn is an online family that I'm proud to be a part of.

A 10 year old Champagne is called for. (although Jaguar007 will probably say 2000 was a poor year)

To another 10 years Commander Bond.

Cheers.

Jeff007

Well said, Jeff007. I lurked here for years before I joined. I've always been impressed with the degree of expertise among the posters and level of discussion. We are indeed a family of fans, even if we're a bit dysfunctional at times. It's been great fun being here, and I hope the site goes on and on.
