Ahhhh... so maybe oral doesn't count as losing it, then? B)

And swiftly exited through the back door, I presume.

Please keep this thread smut-free. Thank you.

This is a James Bond discussion.

I always sort of looked at Person and Higson as 'off canon,' so to speak. Pearson because of the 'real' James Bond piece and Higson because of dealing with Bond as a child. So, I would only consider Gardner's discussion of the climbing accident as canon, for what it's worth.

Interesting. Yeah, I can understand that logic. But it could also be argued that canon, by definition, is only Fleming. Everything else is interpretation.

True enough. By that definition, I probably would have a two tiered canon, though! With Fleming as canon, of course. And Gardner, Benson, Faulkes as secondary.

Yeah, I can see that. A two-tiered canon. But where does Project X fall? That probably starts an all-new tier 3.

I wonder how Deaver will handle these details.

...And now we know!

Deaver only updates Bond's backstory into the late 20th century, replacing WWII with Afghanistan and retaining the details of his becoming an orphan - with one twist (NO SPOILER): was the death of his parents really an accident?

That's all I'll say. Buy CB and read on, people.
