Looks like Twitter is going to be the best way to get this news ASAP. Not only JD's Twitter, the Project X Twitter has started updating. It says something about a press conference on Mon AM.

I'm sooooo happy we'll be getting the title and art. I really thought (feared) they'd hold off until release day. They just invested so much in the whole Project X thing. So far their promotion has been dynamite. Giving us what we want when we want it. Now let's hope for a one-word title, because I have a thing for those. :)

I've already teased a big story for my Houdini blog on Monday. I'm going to have to flip-flop between blogs all day.

Okay, it looks like I'll be able to have it up on the blog as soon as it's announced. Not sure I'm allowed to say exactly when that will be. As with the Deaver announcement, I will get notice, but not much. Excited! :)

I now can't say for certain that I'll have this at the moment of the announcement. We'll see. I'll get it when I get it, hopefully early, but if not, I bet we'll be able to get the info via the official Project X twitter.

Can't imagine them keeping it from us for too long, no worries. It's a shame they aren't recording the conference. I'd love to see it.

Can't wait to hear the title and see the cover art. I wonder if the book will be set in Dubai. It's just a bit of a shame it will be a globe hopping adventure though. Why do the film and literary people these days feel the need to whisk Bond all over the earth? You'd think what with so many people travelling now days as opposed to in the 50's and 60's that globetrotting would have lost its' appeal and they'd concentrate on keeping Bond in just one or two places where he would experience the culture more like he used to.

Double or Die did just that with outstanding results. I don't mind gratuitous globe trotting. Bond is a fantasy figure.

It's usually around the same time. So if not the 28th possibly the 29th. I think it was that way when DMC was released. Certain books tend to have an embargo till a certain time. I have an acquaintance at Borders who was able to get his hands on DMC the day before it was released.
Saying that, the last couple of Higson's didn't arrive till about a week after.

Ignore everything I said. Best thing to do is contact your nearest bookstore, like A&R or Borders :D

We're 7 hours ahead of Dubai in Sydney, so am hoping it will be on here by Tuesday night (???)

Well, I've never actually read a continuation novel. I tried John Gardner's COLD when I was in high school, but it was pretty poor. Based on that book alone, I don't think Gardner ever really got the character of Bond, so it really deterred me from picking up any others.
