But perhaps that's only because QUANTUM OF SOLACE was the most disappointing Bond film for many people here (myself included).
True, I'm not debating that people can't be disappointed by it. But then there are several threads (and a whole forum) where they can voice their disappointment on the film. It shouldn't take up other threads. In other forums.

You are right, there are many threads with heated discussions about Quantum of Solace. However, as the title of this tread is "Most Disappointing Bond Film", people are listing QoS, and many other films are well. Perhaps you should suggest that both supporters and detractors of QoS mose the further discussion elsewhere. But perhaps that's only because QUANTUM OF SOLACE was the most disappointing Bond film for many people here (myself included).

Tomorrow Never Dies . . . with Diamonds Are Forever a close second.
Although I've got Diamonds are Forever at the top of my list, I agree that Tomorrow Never Dies is right up there near the top as well. If there was ever a "checklist" Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies would be it. It's a shame, too, since the premise of the film holds so much potential.

After the ending in OHMSS, DAF could have been a great follow-up.
I guess I'll also throw in that it was dissapointing that Lazenby didn't reprise the role. Connery was starting to age noticeably here. Lazenby was wonderful in OHMSS and probably would have handled a revenge plot a whole lot better than Connery and comnpany did.
