Zimmer's version adds a bit to it, though, as does Klaus Badelt's "Gourmet Valse Tartare," (with Blue Danube), which isn't exactly one of my favorites of the soundtrack.

It actually doesn't. The Glenn Gould recording of the "Aria da Capo" existed long before HANNIBAL.Zimmer's version adds a bit to it, though
"Gourmet Valse Tartare" homages that piece, but it never quite recreates it; early in the film, the actual "Blue Danube Waltz" is actually used as underscore, but never appears on the soundtrack.as does Klaus Badelt's "Gourmet Valse Tartare," (with Blue Danube), which isn't exactly one of my favorites of the soundtrack.
