Didn't see that many movies last year just "Clash of the Titans", "Alice in Wonderland", "Hot Tub Time Machine" "Sex and the City 2" (BAD), "Iron Man 2", "Inception" (fell asleep watching that), and the absolute worst I saw was "Vampires Suck". Title explains it all.

Hello, everybody, haven't been around in these parts for a while. I though I'd make my "return" by sharing my top 10 films of the year. I see that everybody isn't exactly doing a top ten but I've put a lot of though into this year's top ten and been talking about it elsewhere. I got the chance to see so many different films this year, so many great films. So here is my semi-controversial top ten.
1) Carlos (the full 330 minute version)
2) Black Swan
3) Exit Through the Gift Shop
4) The Social Network
5) The Ghost Writer (or 'The Ghost', for elsewhere folk)
6) A Prophet
7) Sound of Noise
8) The Tillman Story
9) Mother
10) Inception
Oh yeah, and for the record, Shutter Island gets my award for 'Worst Film of the Year'. Don't understand how people think this is a good film. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gets the award for 'Best Film I Though I'd Hate With A Passion', and M. Night Shyamalan gets the coveted 'Please Just Leave the Industry Forever' award thanks to The Last Airbender and Devil. Also, Robin Hood gets the 'Most Miss-understood Film of The Year' title and Exit Through the Gift Shop beats out Catfish for 'This is How to Make a Fake Documentary' award.

Well here is what I can remember seeing from the last year:
Good, these are the ones that stood out:
Inception
True Grit
Toy Story 3
Iron Man 2
Average, about standard fare:
The Town
Tron: Legacy
Alice in Wonderland
Shutter Island
Shrek Forever After
Despicable Me
Bad:
Haven't seen anything particularly awful yet...
May see:
Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps (but I should watch the first one beforehand)
The Social Network (maybe, I've been wondering what it was all about, but it doesn't look that interesting)

I thought Shutter Island was pretty good- nice twist at the end. I gave it a 4 out of 5.
I did like RED as a standard action film.- a few nice scenes. Overall maybe a 2.5, or 3 out of 5.
My 2 cc's.
