I'm fine with this. I doesn't really matter who's playing the part in the game that much. I am quite excited to see Croasdell's take on the character, actually. It will be interesting to see if it resembles Craig’s Bond or more of a generic portrayal. I'm expecting more of the latter.

I like the concept behind the game. The article states it's going to be a third-person shooter with a mix of driving elements. B)

Agreed it DOES sound interesting. I would most like to see a Roger game (both TSWLM and MR would make absolutely fantastic games IMHO). A third Dalton movie wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Officially :Croasdell is the new bond next year :http://xcastonline.c...ond-is-mia.html

Not saying it's not true but the article misuses the quotye from Adam. Again Adam was talking about doing motion capture work we have no confirmation what likeness or voice will be for 007.

Well, that's certainly interesting. It's not mentioned if he simply provided the motion capture, or went the distance and will be lending likeness and voice. If true, one has to wonder why the current face of the international spy isn't involved. There hasn't been any official comment from Activision, so we'll have to wait with baited breath.

Confirmed. Croasdell indeed will be playing the full-on role of Bond, James Bond in Bizarre's creation next fall. Best of luck to him. I wonder how he, personally, takes his martinis?

One will note what I underlined here was originally stricken in the article, ergo no longer of relevance.

I'm still hoping for Daniel Craig

oh and Agent under fire was meh

AUF itself wasn't that great of a game, agreed, but I did like that it went for a more generic Bond instead of "Look! Pierce Brosnan!" or "Look! <insert previous actor name here>!"

I agree. However, I really enjoy playing through original stories. Especially when they're solid like Everything or Nothing. Everything is fresh and un-expected. It's like anticipating a new film in a way.

I don't think Craig necessarily has to be the face of the Bond of the video games. It was a nice touch for Casino Royale, but I felt the voice acting in that game (from him at least) was below average, kind of like he didnt put any real emotion into it. Sounded stiff.

Perhaps there's more to it than them not wanting him. Perhaps he didnt want to have his likeness in the game. There could be any number of reasons Craig won't be the face of Bond in the next game.

Possibly. Remember this Craig quote?

“When I started signing contracts for Bond I said, 'I'm not doing the computer game' and they said, “Tough, you are”.

"I said to the people making the Bond game, 'You've got to make this good because there is so much rubbish out there.'"

Activision needs to come to their senses and realize that the world would be a much better place with a video game loosely based on The Spy Who Loved Me or Moonraker, starring Sir Roger Moore himself.

Mayhaps they're getting this chap to do the mo-cap because the Roginator just ain't up to that sort of physicality these days?

Ol' Rog was never up to the physicality of Bond back in the old days. B)

I thought he was great in the game: he puts a lot more effort in than Brosnan did- his performance was so bored-sounding as to be slightly insulting.

I'd prefer to keep a screen Bond in the game than a whole new one, though. A Roger game would be a bit of a dream; much more suitable than FRWL (although that did of course have Connery which is a big enough plus), and I suppose it might be a bit odd to have Roger blowing away thousands of baddies!

I guess it would work as a bit of an espionage style game. Y'know, like Splinter Cell, but with Sir Rog sneaking about. And instead of Sam's stealth suit you'd have Rog's safari suit.

You'd have a bit where you'd have to select the best double entendre to disarm the villain's threats, and you'd have a hypnowbrow gauge which depletes after each use so you need to use it sparingly.

I think I'd be happy playing a game like that.

The. Best. Game. EVER.

Brosnan hate is humorous. Surely there was more effort from him in 'EON' than from Dan the Man in 'QoS'. And you could hear it. Well, I could anyway. There was even more plot in 'EON' than there was in 'QoS' (the videogame). That said, I have to pick up 'EON' again to see where your criticism comes from. Though not your criticism D-O-N. Whoever sprung another spoonful of that good ol' Brosnan hate.

And this confirms it. We won't be getting a Grand Theft Double-O game starring Daniel Craig. The man hates (apparently) violent games like that.

I feel that the movie Bond and the game Bond should be completely different. Except for film tie-ins. I'd rather Craig just concentrate on making a solid Bond movie.

I'm really looking forward to Croasdell's take on Bond, actually.

Brosnan sounds asleep and bored in EoN. I said it at the time, I still say it now. Craig is shouting, getting excited... he's properly trying.

There was even more plot in 'EON' than there was in 'QoS' (the videogame).

I don't know about plot unless you mean in the way QoS dumps whole sections of the plots of the movies, but Eon was certainly a better game. QoS isn't bad, but EoN beats it hands down for the full Bond experience.

You're just turning me on now.

Thing is, it would work. The Rog films are so full of OTT stuff they'd be great as games, plus Roger sounds more like his old self than Connery does now. He'd be right up for it.
