...according to FilePlanet: http://www.fileplanet.com/comingsoon/

FilePlanet is usually pretty reilable so it's a safe bet it'll be online by then, but expect to wait in a queue for a while before being allowed to download from them. They usually tend to have demos before everyone else so for a while that might be the only option.

Tomorrow :) I think it's worth the $6.95 to signup. I hate those queues, and especially when something goes wrong and the windows closes, you have to start again :)

I'll wait, I'm not paying $7 for a demo. It'll be available somewhere for free by the weekend without the wait, they always are.

Yep, NightFire will be available on PC, X-Box, Gamecube and Playstation 2.

I'm really confused now as to when it'll be released :)

Amazon.co.uk are listing NightFire for release on the 29th of Nov.

Amazon.com are listing it for release on the 18th :)

I was told my Gearbox Software that the release would be international - so I have no idea now.

The last I heard is that it would be released on November 21st, but don't quote me on that.

FIlePLanet is still reporting today as the demo release date but there's no demo out there. I checked 3DGamers.com also and they've posted no new downloads nor has GameSpot.com.
GoneGold.com is reporting a 11/20 release date (they only handle PC games) and they quote PCGamer and Computer Gaming World magazines as their source for that date.

You've got to think, the guys that run the site are in California...I think that's a GMT-8 hours...It's about 12pm now...so that makes it 4am in California...

Dave- we're not running on GMT at the moment: its BST. That means you're an hour off.

As of this moment, the official Nightfire site is down. Maybe they're doing some updates including the demo.

Just noticed that the site says it will be down from 6am to 7am PST. So we're 5 minutes or so away from it being back up. Hope the demo is there.
I think I feel the onset of an illness...I'd better let the boss know I'm not feeling well and must go home immediately........

7am in the morning :)

WTF is going on with the official site? The only kind of update that would the cause the whole site to be down would be something like a new design, not just a small update.

It's directing us to pogo.com :)

ok, the whole of EA is down :)

http://www.ea.com

It can't be NightFire related then...either someone has screwed up at EA, or there's going to be one massive update for the whole of the EA site.

You're probably right, the whole site down would seem to indicate something much larger than a demo. Damn.

If you're quick, you can see an error message before the site is redirected to pogo.com

10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Well, whatever maitenance they were doing to pogo.com seems to have killed all the other EA sites...it's now 15 mins past when the site was suppose to go back online.

What are we all gonna do if we go to bed tonight, having not played the demo :)

Girl with the Golden Gun, there is a Playstation 2 magazine in England that has Nightfire on the front, and either a demo, or a movie of the game on the coverdisc. This maybe worth getting if you have a PS2.

To combat no demo......I plan on making a martini, popping in a Bond film, and complaining about it to my wife.

So...what level do you think the demo will be? I'm placing bets on the first level.

Yes, most likely the first level. Thank god I have a GameCube, so I can put my hands on the virtual wheel of the Aston Martin.
