Fair enough.

But I have seen publicity shots of Moore around the time of AVTAK and he still did look pretty good.

I'm not trying to put down Brosnan, in fact part of me wishes he was still Bond, just to see how he would have aged in the role like Moore did. These pictures don't paint a promising picture but the truth is we don't know how he would have kept himself in shape were he still in the role.

That's true! If he still was Bond, he'd look much better!

True... AVTAK promo shots of Moore are pretty good. One thing that hurt him most was the use of stuntmen in action scenes where they switch in an awkward fashion (AVTAK). Brosnan has let himself go a bit and I never understood why.

Here's my favorite part of the whole article:

But as Pierce Brosnan arrived on the set of his new film Remember Me, it was clear he still has the dashing charm that made him a sartorially successful James Bond.

Finally something all Bond fans can agree on. Brosnan was a definite success when it came to dressing himself. :-)

As to the rest, let the debates rage on...

Yes, I think that everybody agrees on this one!

Looks pretty much like Pierce Brosnan to me. Still suave and dapper.

Interestingly enough, I have a couple of film reference books that were published prior to Brosnan's tenure as Bond which list his year of birth as 1951, making him 58 now.

And there are other reference works which list Timothy Dalton's year of birth as 1944 rather than '46.

I wonder if it wasn't common practice by the publicity machine to knock two years off their star's age to appeal more to the youth demographic.

I think even with Connery they tend to play around with the age. Yes at times it's known to knock off a few years of the actor.
