No it's not. It's Sarah Hadland. Chaplin's grand-daughter (I believe) was in the final hotel scenes in SOLACE.Yes, but when whoever played the Bregenz airline receptionist in QUANTUM OF SOLACE departs this earth, Zorin will say that a great actress has gone, but on that occasion he'll genuinely mean it.
"I'm sorry, sir, your card's been rejected. Do you have another?" "No. In a moment you're going to get a phone call. Would you mind telling them I've gone to Cairo?" Ah, what an amazingly well-written and brilliantly-directed scene that is. I get shivers just thinking about it. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Paul Haggis, Joshua Zetumer and Marc Forster really earned their money with that one.
That's charlie chaplin's daughter. Seriously.
Habit (!)Also, Loomis, why all the vitriol against Zorin Industries?

Indeed, I don't think I've ever written anything about Zorin, so I'll start now: I have, believe it or not, tremendous respect for him. I've yet to meet him, but we do have a mutual friend out in the real world and I'm sure the day will come when we find ourselves laughing over beers about Bond, the film industry and CBn.
I find him to be a very well-informed and, perhaps more importantly, extremely entertaining contributor to this site. He's one of those people whose posts I always click on to read regardless of whether I have any interest in the topic concerned. I respect him for his professional knowledge of screenwriting and the movie biz, and I suspect that our views on politics and life in general would chime almost exactly.
However, all of that said, I do find myself disagreeing with him quite a bit, for instance on the merits of Moneypenny as Q as characters who could be reintroduced to the Bond series, and on the subject of QUANTUM OF SOLACE (Zorin thinks QUANTUM OF SOLACE walks on water and that Marc Forster is the greatest genius to have ever worked on a 007 flick*, whereas I think it's just a film and he's just a director).
But isn't that what we're here for? To discuss Bond? To disagree about Bond? I wouldn't wish to engage in debate anyone I didn't think was a worthwhile person to debate with.
How's that for vitriol? If you feel I've ever said (typed) anything to Zorin that's unpleasant or in some way unacceptable, please let me know.
You can read my posts in my exchanges with Zorin as vitriolic, or you can realise that I can go at it hammer and tongs (oo-er!) with another poster while still considering that person to be one of the most valuable members of this forum.
*I am just kidding. Obviously.

And to think we're actually married with three kids... I just can't keep up the pretence Loomis (you won't even tell me your real name - the kids keep asking...)What vitriol? I called his remarks about Zena Marshall funny, which I thought they were. But those remarks of his (which he has acknowledged as being questionable) could be construed as more offensive than anything I've ever written about Zorin.

I actually agree with your take on MONEYPENNY and possibly Q (though there is a greater need for him than the office crumpet). I just know that most people on CBN want them back for the wrong, nostalgic reasons and I have yet to see where either character could feature in the new scheme of things anyway.
I do think SOLACE is one of the best Bond films. I also do think that Marc Forster is easily the best director the series has been fortunate enough to have. And that is from experience and watching a film or two over the years - and not just Bond films on loop as some seem to do (not you Loomis) Time may suggest otherwise but can anyone really put their hands up and name a better director who has helmed a Bond movie?
But don't - not on here anyway... This isn't the thread as this is for Ms Williams. May she be kneeling on some heavenly bed and doing that holding her hair on her top lip thing in order to entertain the angels as she did for the moviegoing public all those years ago in 1962 (that was her doing that moustache hair thing, or do I really need a lie down on MISS TARO's bed...?).

Quite. If people think we argue with each other here on CBn, it's nothing compared to what we're like in our home. Dammit, why does it always have to be my turn to open the curtains in the morning?

Yes, but when whoever played the Bregenz airline receptionist in QUANTUM OF SOLACE departs this earth, Zorin will say that a great actress has gone, but on that occasion he'll genuinely mean it.
Isn't she the one who has replaced Olivia Colman on That Mitchell and Webb Look?

There was also a rather extensive and rather brilliant parody of Casino Royale a couple of weeks ago. It was surprising how good it was because Bond parodies are hackneyed in the extreme and usually more than a bit rubbish, but this was really funny. Sadly it's not on YouTube yet.
"I'm prepared to take you on or should I say... cake you on"
You'll appreciate that when you see the sketch.

So did she really had Asian blood or not ?
No she didn't. It was typical of the British film & TV industry to take dark haired people and give them Asian make up if they couldn't find what they were looking for from Oriental Casting.
