I would really like a more science-based plot (like Everything or Nothing - Nanobots etc.) A Japanese setting would suit this perfectly, with Japan being at the forefront of technology.

I think we should leave plots like that out of the Craig films, they seem fairly grounded so far. Like I said, lets wait for the next Bond (David Tennant please!) before we get into stuff like that.

....a opening animation sequence of a mixture of anime (w/ characters with lots of Yakuza tattoos) and live action. Sounds like a fantastic Bond? I think I'd be in heaven!

Sounds truly awful.

Not Mr_(underscore)_Wint's style at all B)

If the producers were to bring back the character 'Q' they should really consider hiring Ricky Gervais. he bring some much needed comic relief.

I'd like to see the Bond / M relationship continue to strengthen. It was one of the many let downs for me in Die Another Day. The 3 films previous to it had evolved the relationship from a grudging professional respect to a more personal one. Then that gets tossed out for Brosnan's finale. After the events of CR and QoS I'd like to see Bond and M working more together and less antagonistic in Craig's next.

Bond's secretary Mary Goodnight. In the books she's not a stupid MI6 operative!
And a new Major Boothroyd (but not "Q").
Oh ! and the Aston Martin DB5...Yeah I know...But I can't help it ! B)

No, I'd instead want to focus on questions of atmosphere, rather than throwing anime and robots and geishas in at every turn. Don't try to oversell Japan, but just let it be itself. Find great, genuine locations, and look up some of the more interesting bits that foreigners might not be acquainted with.

Lots of places in Hokkaido would be great. Lots of open land because it's primarily dairy farms, beautiful mountains and waterfalls. And most Westerners aren't even aware of a Hokkaido. They just now of the main islands of Japan, there's a big northernmost one. If they were going to do Japan, I wouldn't mind seeing them use Hokkaido, if they're going with the main body of the nation. Otherwise, use one of the smaller, outlying islands. Honshu is way overused in things involving Japan, particularly Tokyo and the Kansai region. Kyushu...I'm just not very fond of anywhere on the island.

Great. Now my otaku side is coming out.

An example of one of the national parks/resorts in Hokkaido:

Doesn't sound like a bond movie to me.... lol

The only thing I want is a bloody director who knows how to do amazing action scenes, not that nob Marc Foster who wreaked QOS with horrible cutting and pasting of EVERY action sequence.
I mean James Bond is all about the top class action that's the main thing, on the edge of your seat stylish well thought, mind blowing action, with bond just escaping and looking good.

I mean of course u need need girls and location but thats the easy part, unfortunately thats all we bloody hear about.

I'd almost like to see them take a Goldfinger. I don't mean a crazy out-there sort of adventure. But Dr No and From Russia dealt with SPECTRE. Then we get Goldfinger and it has nothing at all to do with SPECTRE. I'd like to see a break from Quantum. Just a villain operating on his own this time.

What I would like to see in the next Bond film is for it to be more like the original Fleming books in spirit and feel and lets hope Morgan brings it.

Fleming showed more of what makes Bond tick, and more of what goes through his mind.

I would love to see a Bond film where we see Bond narrating/voicing over the story of what goes through his mind when he meets the people he meets and what his strategy is when given an assignment. I want to see what makes him tick and what he is going through on the inside.

It would an interesting and different way to see Bond on film and it would definitely be closer in spirit with the original book(s). Lets see more of the psychology of Bond is what I'm saying.

In another little but significant twist, we should see Bond more in disguise and be different characters to use as his cover in perhaps two scenes. We can some of Craigs range by him needing to perhaps change his voice and mannerisms when undercover.

I also think it would be a nice wink to Bond fans and to the general movie audience to see Bond needing to dye his hair brown for a specific undercover assignment for example.

Another suggestion for this next film is to get back to the feel of the earlier Connery films with mystery, suspense, and more of a noirish feel. MoneyPenny and Q need to finally be introduced in this next film as well.

I hope the Broccolis get a solid director for the next film and I suggest they look at ALFONSO CUARON. He would be a great choice to direct the next Bond film, since I feel he brings the total package for a Bond film to succeed.

I take it you missed Quantum of Solace eh? That film was oozing Fleming (not to mention being one of the best directed films of the series).

I still get chills thinking about that slow (but awesome) build up to the car chase.

Eh, some people dislike QoS. Bound to happen. Straying slightly for a moment, I think some of them are one-timers, too. When I saw QoS the first time, it ranked around 16 or 17 on my list. Bumped up to around 13 or 14 after the second viewing. Made it to #6 after the third. After the fourth it now makes my top 5.

I didn't dislike QOS at all, it was a good one dimesional type of action film and the 2nd part of the larger story from Casino Royale.

I liked it, it was good, NOT great. Casino Royale was better and there is much more room for improvement in the next Bond film and the Broccolis and the writers need to take advantage of it.

Alfonzo Cuaron or Matthew Vaughn to direct!

I'm not sure what film you saw, but I saw a film with a lot of depth, and well thought out story to boot. There is nothing one dimensional about QoS.

1. A traditional gun barrel at the begining of the film. (It's been a decade since the last old fashion gun barrel.)
2. Bond off-duty at his flat.
3. A larger then life megalomaniac. (I've liked that Le Chiffre and Dominic Green were small fish in a large pond but I'm ready for a big fish.)
4. A relentless henchmen who is a worthy opponent for Bond.
5. Bond in M's office being assigned a mission.
6. Moneypenny.
7. Q or Major Boothroyd.
8. Bond's Aston Martin DB-5 being retro fitted with gadgets.
9. Bond in his Naval Commander Uniform.
10. Bond tossing his Naval Commander cap onto a coat rack.
11. Spending more time in exotic locations instead of globe hopping every five minutes.
12. A larger role for Felix Leiter.
13. Quantum.
14. Guy Haines.
15. A car chase that last more then three minutes and covers a lot of distance.
16. Longer cuts.
17. More wide angles and less close ups.
18. Daniel Kleinmen as title sequence designer.
19. An enormous lair that rivals SPECTRE'S hollowed out volcano.
20. The henchmen surviving till the very last scene where he/she tries to kill Bond.
21. More humor.
22. Countries Bonds never been to before.
23. Bond in detective mode like Dr. No
24. A Fleming title.
25. A bond girl with a delightfully obscene name.
26. A large full scale battle between the villain's troops and Bond leading a team of commandos.

The producers have made two wildly successful Bond films that stripped most of the classic elements away and now I'd like to see them make a classic 60s style Bond film with Daniel Craig without sacrificing the new level of quality the series has reached. I want the film to be more humorous and lighthearted. I would very much like for Bond 23 to be Craig's Goldfinger.

I have this image of a captured Daniel Craig, goons on either side of him, being lowered down by an elevating platform to meet the villain.

I'd like to see Bond in Australia of course!!!

Otherwise I'd like the locations to be South East Asian.

I have to say I much prefer the absence of gadgets. This is Craig's era, let it be known as the harder, more brutal era of Bond. I'd love to see the glitz and glamour of Casino Royale brought back, and I like Dubai as a location. Of course I also want to see the DBS. I think it has become the signiture car of Craig's Bond. Perhaps an appearance by the old DB5 also? Furthermore, I believe London should feature- after all it is Bond's home!

Right...

I have a vision of a Bond film that doesn't need to feature hollowed out volcanoes, 200 stuntmen in boiler suits firing guns and as many close-ups and crash cuts as possible.

Horses for courses....

I think they have still been in the movies, they just haven't been introduced by Q. Casino Royale featured the defibrilator in the car, Bond's impressive phone and his bug and ear piece which helped him follow Le Chiffre's movements.

QOS featured M's nifty hologram wall.
