(Incidentally, I once read all of Ian Fleming's Bond novels, one a day, in the gaps in between one A Level exam paper and the other - my exams were spread over two weeks. I had got to the point where further exam revision was pointless and needed something in between to keep me sane! I'd arrive at for each exam and my school friends would ask "How's it going?", and I'd answer something like "Just finished From Russia With Love" or "That's Goldfinger out of the way!". Needless to say this diversion from the straight and narrow did not affect my exam grades - I got the predicted straight As!)
Wow, good one Guy Haines. I just wish I'd been that smart. I read them whilst revising too and they certainly affected my marks, losing 94% in my maths exam: I got 007%
