He could play Simon Templar better.

That's just what I was going to say.

Please, for the love of god, no. Simon Baker is one of the most boring men alive.

I was watching the TV-show "The Mentalist", were the Australian actor Simon Baker is in the lead. This guy has the style, the looks and the charm to portray James Bond. Do not get me wrong, I would like to see Daniel Craig feature in at least 5 more Bond films. But maybe Baker could take over the role after Craig.

You know I always thought the same about this guy, but after watching a few things, he lacks the certain "big screen IT" factor and by the time Craig leaves (even after Bond 23) he may be too old.

He could play Simon Templar better.

That's just what I was going to say.

It will be too late for Baker when Daniel leaves. But yes, he does have that certain something that fits for a suave, rakish action hero. So I 'five' the Simon Templar suggestion. Or a remake of The Persuaders.

Who would you like for the Curtis role?

imo, he is totally wrong. The guy has no charisma or screen presence at all. I find it hard to imagine him carrying any movie well (he was the lead in Land Of the Dead and seemed out of place being the lead even in that B grade mess), let alone a Bond film.
