Here's a little blurb from the Daily Mail which indicates that Craig is indeed the 'main bad guy'...and presumably if he has two sidekicks its a pretty significant role.
http://www.dailymail...-Knightley.html
Daniel Mays and Mackenzie Crook play Alan and Ernie, the 'classic comic' sidekicks to Daniel Craig's main bad guy in The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn, which has been shooting in Los Angeles, with Steven Spielberg overseeing a mammoth production that Mays likens to a Shuttle launch.
'You've got the actors wearing funny tight bodysuits fitted with hundreds of motion-capturing devices and as you act, you can see yourself on a big screen with costumes superimposed on this character that looks like you. . . but isn't.
'In front of you there's a camera that picks up every aspect of your face.
'Five people with hand-held cameras are filming you. And Steven Spielberg is sitting there with a camera device manipulating all the images.
'With all the people on the set and backstage, it's like a Shuttle launch - just fantastic!'

I wonder if they'll still use elements from Stephen Moffat's script, even though he's left the project to do Doctor Who.

So this will be like Beowulf, where many of the actors look like cgi'ed versions of themselves.
Anyway, that's how I undestood it going to be , based on that article.

Tintin will open in the USA on December 23, 2011, with pretty much the rest of the world getting it a month beforehand!

Anyway, 2011? Dang. I guess I'll take my flying car to the cinema to see it. Or probably download it through DTB (direct-to-brain)

Yes, we won't be seeing any Daniel Craig films before 2011
He'll keep us waiting. He's cool like that.

Great to see a James Bond actor is going to be in the movie about Tintin, obviously the most famous of all my countrymen.
