He said, "Three words that all people should fear - 'Pierce Brosnan singing'" and went on to bash Brosnan relentlessly saying Brosnan ruined the whole movie.

I don't think Brosnan was any worse than the rest of the warblers in that piece of cinematic dreck. I think it's just fashionable to bash the concept of "James Bond singing".
I thought he was great in it. I laughed a lot. Singing that the lyrics deserved.

That's probably doing Meryl Streep a bit of an injustice. She's got a helluva voice on her, and puts Messrs Firth, Brosnan and Skarsgård to shame.I don't think Brosnan was any worse than the rest of the warblers in that piece of cinematic dreck. Weren't he and Denise Thing nominated for The World is not Enough?
yes they were nominated for worst couple but lost to will smith and kevin kline for wild wild west. sean connery and catherine zeta jones were also nominated in that category that year for entrapment.

... you hate musicals, hate Abba, hate Broz or have no sense of humor at all.
In the end, Broz will laugh all the way to the bank. "Mamma Mia!" was even more successful than QOS and brought Broz back into the consciousness of studios and producers. So, good move.

I loved Broz in "Mamma Mia!". The whole film was lots of fun. Unless...

Or, like me, you think the casting was awful and you don't think Broz can sing (or act) to save his life (SOS, shudder) in what is clearly intended to be a musical. His was barely hen night karaoke. The low point however has to be in the dance number at the end where Broz takes his top off to flaunt his girdled paunch. Even Rog' wouldn't have stooped that low on a Cannonball Run/Pink Panther or Spice World cameo.

Good grief. Whatever happened to the thin man of GE? I'm not sure his loved ones have told him. He went on in one interview about having Meryl strip his shirt off...Alas.

True. I think I'm still bitter about being dragged to see the thing in the first place. That's probably doing Meryl Streep a bit of an injustice. She's got a helluva voice on her, and puts Messrs Firth, Brosnan and Skarsgård to shame.

Still, is what Brosnan did in Mama Mia really any worse then Connery's lovely outfit on Zardoz?
Yes. It makes the SPICE WORLD cameo look like the train fight with Red Grant.
