Roger Moore in LTK...that is undoubtedly the most interesting idea I've read in this thread so far tdalton. He would have been too old by then for it to seem believable during the action sequences.
You know what however? Having Moore provide that winning charm of his to infiltrate Sanchez's organization, only to destroy it from within and finally offing Sanchez himself, hence revealing a burning rage that he had kept hidden underneath his wit...I could actually see that as working well. Notwithstanding Moore's age, I think you might be on to something tdalton.
Well, it wouldn't necessarily have to be Roger Moore in the actual Licence to Kill that we got in 1989, because, as you accurately stated, he would have been far too old for the role at that point. Rather, I was just thinking of having Roger Moore in a film of a very similar style to Licence to Kill. I have absolutely no doubt that he would have pulled that off brilliantly, and such a film starring Roger Moore would have carried a great amount of dramatic weight to it simply because it would have been such a departure from what we were used to seeing with Moore in the lead role.
