As no-one here clearly knows who the character will be (her background, nationality and age) isn't it a bit redundant to fantasy-cast a role no-one here has a clue about?
True enough but on the nationality one, since they've recently asked us to buy a Russian playing a Bolivian, a Frenchwoman playing some sort of panda and Halle Berry playing (...clues most welcome), anyone unrepulsive and requisitely lissome and gullible on the 'a very different modern Bond woman' line is arguably fair game for speculation, non?

Not sure what nationality Honey Rider is meant to be but at a guess not whatever Ursula Andress is (Swedish? Swiss? Welsh?).
Italian plays a Russian...
Englishwoman plays a Lesbian...or Admiral Hargreaves...
Frenchwoman plays an Italian...
Japanese woman plays a Japanese woman (query inverse racism that she wasn't cast as Welsh)
Englishwoman plays a whatever the hell Tracy Bond is meant to be
Etc
Strikes me that only if you're Japanese or American are you likely to play your own nationality. Otherwise it appears to be a case of "Swedish, you say? That's a bit like Egyptian, innit? Near enough".

If we trust the book Honey is (presumably) Jamaican-born from an English family.

Half-English, half-Italian. Have fun thinking up the proper demonym.

I'd like to see Moon Bloodgood as a Bond leading lady.
I do find Moon Bloodgood attractive, but after seeing how bad her acting was on Burn Notice I would say " no way". The only other thing I have seen her in is Eight Below.

I have to agree on that! It'd be really annoying to see a miscast again while everybody's expecting a great film from the producers!

Perhaps a bit obvious after INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, but I think Melanie Laurent would be an absolutely fantastic choice. She's not only stunning and sophisticated, but she's a phenomenal actress.
Haven't seen the movie myself, but she looks terribly interesting!

I believe it's who we want. I don't care what's possible plausible etc. cause if i was going with thatHilary Duff as a Bond girl will never ever happen. It's not even about debating if it's a fact or not...just like there's gravity in the earth's atmosphere, Duff will never be a Bond girl.
The director Actress and actors will be people i've never heard of in films I've never heard of but everyone says i should see.
there we go I figured out everything

Jessica Biel Nearly Made it in Quantum of solace but didn't personally Biel would be good and a name i actually know.
I go with what i want as I already knowv what i'll get I've never heard of Marc Forester Before Quantum but I knew of his work (never saw any of it but that is another story) I never Heard of Eva Green Before Royale but knew of her films (never saw them either) if bond 23 continues that tradition well I won't know them till they are in bond 23.

Great idea! The only thing that could be an impediment is the fact that she will be too associated with Tarantino´s film. I guess EON will shy away from another Tarantino headline: "Not only they stole my Casino Royale idea, now they also use one of my actresses!"

I keep pondering this question and haven't come up with a good actress yet. I kinda like when they choose unknowns for Bond Girls... there's that extra air of mystery and sex appeal cause you really don't know much about the girl to begin with.

Did someone say Olivia Wilde?
http://justjared.buz...q-october-2009/
Pretty sure I suggested her a few pages back ! lol
Sje would be a great sign up for Eon before she gets snapped up for another big role..she is destined for bigger things..
I'd also personally love to see Eliza Dushku in a Bond movie; especially as a Fiona like villainess....

Am I allowed to nominate myself? LOL
I really don't hink that there's someone to play this role than a Bond fan! It's fine by me, honestly!

I don't see why not. After all, that's how most politicians do it. Register's in the entry hall. Take a left, then a right, then it's the seventeenth green door on your left, then take another left, then the third door on your right, then take two more rights, and sprint through the funhouse mirror.

That would seriously be absolutely amazing. I mean even the smallest walk on roll. I'm sure anyone of us fans (girls or guys) would be ecstatic to get 15min of Bond Film fame.I really don't hink that there's someone to play this role than a Bond fan! Ok then... I would like to submit exhibit A*... since it seems to fall along the lines of the other exhibits from the other nominees. LOL. If only this were an official ballot of some kind.I don't see why not. After all, that's how most politicians do it. Register's in the entry hall. I'm still trying to think up a very unknown actress who I think would nail the BondGirl vibe... I'll come up with someone. I just don't want them to be popular already.

Yowza...You've got my vote.
And I think you could pretty much play yourself. Anyone ever tell you you already have a Bond girl name, Athena?
