Nationality and race aside, I think his celelb personality would not work for the role.

Looks like to much of an attention seeker, using money to buy his way to being cool, sophisticated instead of expressing those charms naturally.
Another hint, Bond does not have an entourage to give him a sense of worthyness.

Also those past Bond's good or bad never chose to be Bond for the sake of being Bond as far a I understand.

P Diddy comes across more like a black Emilio Largo than OO7. His scenes are so campy with his sardonic smirk while trying to look cool. Sorry, it does not work and though I wish him success on the fragrance, I sure hope he does not even come close to an official audition for Bond.

My God, what an embarrassment. That was not an audition tape, that was Diddy basically jerking off to a picture of himself for five minutes (which is about as long as his career as James Bond would last). EON probably thought it was a great joke.

Ugh, somebody get him out of here. The last thing anyone wants is some American Rapper Thug playing a beloved character like James Bond who is so very much a British institution. As an American I hate any comments or attempts that Bond should ever be played by an American. We are cowboys with ill manners. That is not what Bond is. I think Felix Leiter as an African-American is perfect because it represents the growing diversity in America. And Hell Black Americans are every bit apart of what America is a White Americans. But leave Bond to the British.

There he is, wearing a tuxedo and riding a jetski through the yacht-infested waters of Monaco on a beautiful day, and he can't even manage a wink or a sly smile at the camera, as if to say, "Yes, I am actually doing this! Life is utter madness! Isn't it wonderful?"

But no - nothing to alleviate the tiresomeness. I hope he gives some of the proceeds of his new perfume, I Am Bling, to charity.

Oh, leave him be. Yes, he is clearly a complete buffoon, and yes this is money which could clearly have gone to a better cause, but couldn't you say that about all forms of enertainment? It's harmless, the only thing it could possibly harm is P. Diddy's career and in my opinion that's nothing to get upset about.
