(One complements the other)
2. It's in my top three
(actually I see it as Act3 of CR, so it's CR+QoS as 1-2, then FRWL as third....I posted my overall ranking a little while ago.
3. 9/10

Ah yes, Mugabe considers all votes against him as preferences to him. Even though his country opts for a first past the post system.Poor Robert Mugabe is currently languishing with one vote. Although by his election rules that's still enough to guarantee him the Presidency.

for this film i remained completely spoilers free. i did not watch any previews (had to unplug my tv for the week leading up to the movie) and i am glad i did because i am not sure what my expectations would have been like if i had seen them. to get hyped i watched all 21 movies leading up to the new one (watching casino royale three times)
anyway
1. They're too different so comparing them is wasting my time
2. Its in my top 10 (top 3 is still CR, FRWL, and OHMSS)
3. I gave it an 8 although that might change with future viewings

We have reviewed and commented.
I seem to be missing a thread that is simple in summing our overall impression in terms of scores.
Out of 10, how did you grade QoS?
Me: 9/10

Actually, probably an 8 after my second viewing.

Had Forster not used shaky cam, editing been more controlled and less frantic, and less squashed together meaningless chases, it would've been a 9!

Nowadays, having sobered up somewhat, I'd probably amend it to a 7. No, a 6. However, I've "only" seen the film once, so it may be that a second viewing will have me glugging the Kool-Aid again.

In view of the controversy and loudly expressed disappointment from so many fans I would say it's a valid and purposeful poll. I'll vote in your poll but I need to make up my mind about some things first.Pretty simple, really: not really a thread for comments, more just to answer the questions above.
NB you can vote in each of the three sections, or not really bother because it's of questionable validity and purpose anyway.
Jim, how does one set up a poll on CBn? I see the option to start new threads but I don't see an option to start a poll and I want to start one.

Only moderators have this extra special power, so you have to ask so very, very nicely.
Consider me a "No, I don't think Quantum of Solace should be recut onto DVD; what a very perverse notion". Or "Robert Mugabe".
