More specifically, I played as 'Janus Special Forces' in my first multi-player battle. (Who was my favorite character for some strange reason)

VERY cheesey, left-to-right, "jump & shoot" game for the SEGA Genesis system.
Came out in '93 with a very bad likeness of T. Dalton. Some levels included fighting JAWS & MayDay.
Always fun when he got eaten by sharks.

Licence to Kill on the ZX Spectrum. Man, I feel old...
Me too, remember thinking it was awsome at the time!
As an aside does anyone remmember "Sly Spy" remember that being a pretty good Bondesqe game.

But to the hardcore fans, I have to say it was 'James Bond 007' on the Game Boy and I couldn't get past the 3rd level so never completed it. It was entertaining, frustrating and complex at the same time but the pixelated theme music was always a joy!

Licence To Kill was the first game I enjoyed.
conneryboy, I remember Sly Spy, such a bogus Bond game by Data East. You could even build a "Golden Gun", and Sly parachuted in a Stars and Stripes parachute
The high score table was a rip-off of TLD poster

The 1st Bond game I ever played was OO7: the Duel.
VERY cheesey, left-to-right, "jump & shoot" game for the SEGA Genesis system.
Came out in '93 with a very bad likeness of T. Dalton. Some levels included fighting JAWS & MayDay.
Always fun when he got eaten by sharks.
Same here. My uncle gave it to me for my birthday. Pretty fun though... and cheesy. If I recall there was a bomb to arm and around 5 identical blond women in green dresses to save, and boss fight in each of the five levels. My favorite level was the Level 1 on the cruise ship. Always had to take a deep breath before facing Jaws. Gave me the shivers as a kid. the toughest part was choosing how to escape: by submarine or jet pack. Now that never got old.

It was S*** beyond belief and impossible. I remember running along left to right in what I guess was Gibraltar whilst people shot at me. I never saw beyond that as we always got killed. I'm pleased I didn't have to buy it.
See clips of it here

For me, it was James Bond 007 on gameboy. I wish I could actually say something about it, but I think I was 6 the last time I played it and cannot remember anything about it. The first one that I remember anything of is Goldeneye 007. Still remember those all nighters in middle school and high school with my friends playing that and Perfect Dark....

I have yet to play a James Bond video game!

My first was the 1985 Apple II game James Bond 007: A View to a Kill by Mindscape.
A text adventure game.
It was written by Raymond Benson.

That was awesome, Spectre Cat! Especially with the James Bond theme.
Mine was the Parker Bros. James Bond 007 for the Atari 5200. It had four levels--Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only, The Spy who Loved Me, and Moonraker. Still have the cartridge, though the 5200 is gone. I think that might have been the first Bond video game for a home console.

I have vague meories of seeing my mate play A VIEW TO A KILL on hs AMSTRAD CPC464 back in about 1986/87. He had the colour screen model, my CPC464 had a green screen :-(
My first JAMES BOND video game was of course, GOLDENYEYE, i bought the NINTENDO64 package that came with GOLDENEYE and the limited edition gold coloured controller. I also bought TWINE for the N64 as well as TWINE for gameboy color. in 2001 i was passing a video game shop, and saw they had the old original gameboy game of JAMES BOND 007 in a bargain bin, as it had no box or instructions, it was a bargain for £5! Last game i had was everything or nothing for my pc

First one was AVTAK on a Speccy. I remember getting excited when my mate said it was actually three games. But all three were truly terrible! The musical renditions were even worse. First one I owned was TLD on a CPC. For some reason, I still rather like this one - even if some levels were a bit random (eg. the first level - which was actually one of the tougher levels). I seem to recall the safe-house and fairground were my favourites, loved the David Whittaker music at the time also. Completed it quite a few times. Next was LTK on an Amiga - by far the best of the bunch - in particular the second run and shoot level. Never got into the console scene - but did play Goldeneye on an N64. Always struggled with anything more than up, down, left, right and fire!

Goldeneye 007 on the N64. It was also my first ever real experience with console gaming. Masterpiece. Still the best game I have ever played. And I've played A LOT over the years!

First was GoldenEye 007 on the N64.
It's a shame that after all these years, some 16 or 17 in fact, that they have only managed to make one Bond game since then that even rises to the level of mediocre (Everything or Nothing).

Professer Pi, you beat me to it! Wasn't sure there were any old guys contributing to this topic. My first game was also the PArker Brothers James Bond 007 game which I played in my freshman year of college (1983). This was back before having a computer was the norm and one of the Computer Science majors had a Commodore 64. It was an era of mostly word type games where you read about situation and then would type questions and actions to proceed in the story. However the James Bond 007 game was a visual game where you manuvered Bond's vehicle up and down as the landscape moved left to right. You could shoot at things and avoid things using the arrow keys to go up and down and speed up and slow down. Such excitement!

First one was TWINE on PlayStation.
It was pretty hard to finish but I was very impressed by the action sequences, maybe because I was a child...

Goldeneye(N64)
I remember I stopped paying attention to Bond films after Brosnan departed. I didn't have anything against Craig but I was still young and honestly I didn't even know Casino Royale was a Bond film. Recently until Skyfall, I realized how much I've been missing on. During that time I was watching old films from around the 60s & 70s so it wasn't an issue to watch some old Bond film on TV that ran through a Marathon. I got back into Bond and learned about as much as I could since Skyfall and have seen just about all of them. If it wasn't for Goldeneye I probably wouldn't have been able to witness something great at a young age.

A combination of Goldeneye 64 and James Bond 007 on Gameboy.
I love the gambling mini-games on the latter. An under-rated little game and fun for its time.

Goldeneye 64 is still the best IMO but I haven't played them all so. Perfect Dark was pretty good too.
Was disappointing when I found out Goldeneye Reloaded wasn't a remake but rather re-imagining.
It was also disappointing Rare Ware I believe the company that made GE64 didn't get to make the TND game which went to the PS. Never played that either...
