Yes. There are others. We meet in this thread, Joey:... to, for the first time in my life, giving the whole spoiler-free thing a go with Bond 23.
Anyone else with me?
Confessions of some virgins
(EDIT: Though now I realize you're talking about Bond 23... to which I say, it's easy to make promises when the trial hasn't even begun!)

The funny thing is, although I haven't avoided any spoilers for QoS, I still really don't have much idea what I'm going to see on the 31st...

Exactly. Even if we had read the script, what appears on the screen would be different. The funny thing is, although I haven't avoided any spoilers for QoS, I still really don't have much idea what I'm going to see on the 31st...
Only EON could 'spoil' a Bond film if they made a film based on our spoilers.

So what are we all going to do for that 2 WEEK span? I can maybe keep myself busy with the election for the first few days, but then what?Easier said than done. It's going to be hard enough avoiding the internet from Oct. 31st to Nov. 14th. If you can do that, you might have a chance....

I first went spoiler-free with Casino Royale, but seeing as I had already read the book, it was slightly pointless. This time round, with QoS, it's really working out for me so far. I'm excited and prepared to be surprised in the cinema. Good or bad, I just like the tension of not knowing yet.
Give it a try, I'd say, and if you don't like the experience... well, there's always Bond 24.

What he said.
I was actually talking about this to someone the other day. I think the last Bond film I didn't know much about was FYEO other than that there was a ski chase and the bits that made the headlines when the monks protested.
After that, I joined the JB FanClub run by Richard Schenkman, started reading Starlog regularly and going to Sci-Fi and genre conventions.
..and then came the internet.
Goes with the territory in being a Bond fan.
Wouldn't have it any other way, but as we're about to be bombarded by the massive PR blitz, for those of you struggling to stay clear, I understand and wish you the best, but in about five weeks (less for those of you in the UK) it'll be over.
Then we can all argue about it for the next year until Bond 23 starts up.

I will never go spoiler free as long as the internet is up and running. I promise to spoil myself moderately and perhaps only stumble upon some spoilers I will wish to have never stumbled upon... by mistake. Of course.

Well, the new CR 3 disc DVD/Bluray will be out, as well as Craig's "Flashbacks of a fool", so we can watch those. Well that's two days taken care of...it'll be a tough two weeks apart from that! I do want to log into CBN to read some non-spoiler reviews (presumably there'll be a Spoiler review thread and Non-spoiler review thread)

Otherwise, yes I am curious, and I will want to see photos from the shooting and hear about where they're shooting and what kinds of car they use.

I tried with QUANTUM OF SOLACE, but then some moron from AOL gave away the ending in July by revealing the fate of Dominic Grene and for no reason other than no-one else was reporting it.... to, for the first time in my life, giving the whole spoiler-free thing a go with Bond 23.

while people are right that you are going to see the film many more times in the future knowing what is going to happen, you only see it a first time once so why go into that one knowing what is going to happen? it definitely provides for a different experience as there are obviously more surprises. for quantum of solace i didnt watch any previews for the movie on tv or at the theater so i didnt even know what the action scenes would be like which was nice.

That's cool. I remember being the same when I first saw The Living Daylights in the cinema. I hadn't seen any trailers.
For Goldeneye, I had only seen Tina Turner's music video for the title song, and that features clips of the movie.
