I just listened to it and it is ok. I am not a fan of the artists and I think some of the song sounds forced. Other parts sound great but I dont think it will be a hit. I do believe that Bond is so intimidating that they feel the need to put some Bond sounding stuff in there when they dont have to.
I still think they should have gone with their original choice of Amy Windhouse and gone with this as a backup. If she worked out this could have been used at the end of the film. We will never know. But she has the perfect sounding voice for these films right now.
Just heard it again for the fifth time - it's so awful! Please God...

Funny thing is, when the song AVTAK was released, it was totally hated. Now it is "fondly remembered" as a great Bond song.
Art is in the eye of the beholder´s times...
Well, I really liked AVTAK when it first came out (even though I had never seen a Bond film at that point). However, this song for QOS, I just can't get myself to like it. Will they do an orchestrated version for QOS? Maybe, then I'll be able to stand it.

Interesting, but makes total sense. AVTAK was so different from everything they had had before. I remember loving it when it was released and was always super excited when the brilliant music video that was made for it would air on MTV. A few years ago ABC had a poll in which American viewers were asked which of the Bond songs they liked the most. Goldfinger ended up as #2 and AVTAK #1.

To Die For
Be the first to hear Alicia Keys & Jack White’s “Another Way to Die,” the best Bond theme since “Die Another Day”!
High praise there. The link leads to a page where AWTD can be listened to and added to your profile.
The Sound of Solace
We haven’t been this stoked about a new Bond flick since the time they announced Daniel Craig would be taking over the role of 007! And now, joining the list of Bond theme song performers that includes every legendary superstar from Madonna and Carly Simon to Duran Duran and Paul McCartney comes Alicia Keys and Jack White with Quantum of Solace’s “Another Way to Die,” the first time a duet has been used as the theme to the famous film franchise. The Raconteurs rocker and White Stripes frontman Jack wrote and produced the song and also plays drums on the track, while 11-time Grammy winner Alicia handles the keys. If November’s release of Quantum of Solace is even half as awesome as its theme, it looks like Bond has another modern day classic to add to his arsenal.

But the what they said i found to be funny & a very bad comparison. ...the best Bond theme since “Die Another Day”!
And it's not even true. The best Bond theme since Die Another Day remains You Know My Name.

I wish it could be just the instrumental version for the movie, but I don't think that's gonna happen
I'm no fan of Amy Winehouse, BUT, Alicia Keyes is not her by a longshot. In fact, I hate Alicia Keyes.

I'm really on the fence about this song. There is a lot to like. I like the edgy quality mixed with the traditional Bond sounds. It's kind of pointless to critique the lyrics of a Bond tune, not many could standup to close examination. Where it really looses me are the vocals. What's mean't to be edgy and sexy comes off as strained and silly. Alicia Keys' voice is good but a bit generic. In the end, as stated by someone earlier, the final song sounds like a promising demo. If it were tighened up a bit, with a stronger vocal, it would be awesome. At one point I suggested Christina Aguilera. Listen to her song Fighter and picture her vocals with this song. I think that would have been a classic. The fact is, this is the official song. my hope is that the title edit is a bit more focused.
I agree..Keyes sounds amateurish, kinda like Jordin Sparks...and what is it with the semi-moans? aghhh.....so not sexy....I wish just like you, that they do a good edit for the movie

I figure(d) the section with the call & response between the guitar and Keys would be dropped for the titles rather than lines.

I thought it would. I remember hearing YKMN in full surround sound at the theatre, it just sounded 100 times better. The Coke advert featuring the song played in the theater before my movie started. It sounds a lot better with all of the surround sound and cranked up volume.

The more I hear this song the more I love it. Well done EON good choice in music. Veeery sexy and hot indeed. Hope we get the instrumental version on the ocd.
I can't stop listening to it. The more I hear it the more I really dig it. It's dirty and very sexy.

An older friend of mine, in his late 40's just loves the song. He's one of those guys who listens to all sort of music from Ravi Shankar, and The Beatles, to Supertramp, Dropkick Murphys, Siouxsie and The Banshees, and XTC. Like me, he's never listened to Jack White or Alicia Keys before but he really likes this song. He was so impressed he's going to get the vinyl single.

May I ask, what is audibly the best version of this song now? And where can I find it to either listen or buy?
I-Tunes (UK at least) has it in perfect quality for download
