1. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE - The glamour of train travel is featured in the scene with Bond, Tatiana and Grant in the dining car.
2. THUNDERBALL - One of my favorite scenes featured Bond's arrival at a casino in Nassau.
3. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE - Another casino sequence, only this one features Bond's second meeting with Tracy at a casino in Portugal. I also enjoyed the birthday party sequence for Marc Draco.
4. LIVE AND LET DIE - This movie featured a scene with Bond's arrival at a hotel in San Monique that included a "Voodoo" show performed by Baron Semedi.
5. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME - One of my favorite sequences featured Bond and Anya meeting Max Kalba at a nightclub in Cairo.
6. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY - Another favorite sequence featured Bond and Kristatos at Columbo's Greek casino
7. OCTOPUSSY - I also enjoyed the sequence featuring Bond's meeting with Kamal Khan at his hotel in Udaipur, India.
8. A VIEW TO A KILL - A favorite sequence of mine featured Bond and Sir Godfrey's time at Max Zorin's French chateau.
9. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS - I love the sequence featuring Bond and Kara's arrival in Vienna.
10. GOLDENEYE - Another favorite is Bond's arrival at a casino in Monte Carlo
11. CASINO ROYALE - I have two favorite sequences that include Bond's arrival at his hotel/resort in Nassau and his arrival at Casino Royale in Montenegro.

Who can forget the ultimate scene in Dr.No, where Bond says the line, lights a sigarette and then passes his card to the girl while walking out? The best!

That's my personal favorite. IMO, the classiest Bond film remains THUNDERBALL.

Ah, this film made me want to take the Orient Express (which still exists, by the way).
Then I asked the fare rates, and I settled for the plane. Considerably!

"I'd say it was a 30 year old Fine indifferently blended, with an overdose of Bon Bois."

Eating with the bank guy and M in the dining room in Goldfinger!
"I'd say it was a 30 year old Fine indifferently blended, with an overdose of Bon Bois."
Ah, yeah, this one... But this is the point where Bond's food snobbery tops mine, and I'm slightly annoyed!

and Thunderball.
I also always enjoy Bond and Kristatos having Gluwein in Cortina, and then dinner in Greece, later in the movie.
Another good one, is Bond's arrival in Cuba in DAD, and meeting Raoul on the rooftop of his offices.

In fact, unlike those other things which tend to stagnate Bond, I think the classic atmosphere is one of the elements that allows Bond to survive with dignity.
In my estimation, James Bond has the best chance of continued success as long as they:
1) push the envelop with stunts and action
2) continue writing Bond into classy and atmospheric locations in which he can, as you say, enjoy the ‘good life’.
It's the second that makes us “wish we were him", as the phrase goes.

I agree. One of my favorite lines in all of Brosnan's tenure, and a genuinely cool moment in an otherwise painfully cheesy scene (Big Bang theories and all that). And there's the one in DAD where Bond goes to the barman and says:"Vodka Martini with lots of ice if you can spare it!"

Same with Hosein's Egytian tent in The Spy Who Loved Me.

I also love the implied sexual decadence of Tiger Tanaka's Japanese bath with all those girls at their disposal for the night in You Only Live Twice.
Same with Hosein's Egytian tent in The Spy Who Loved Me.
Ah yes, why can't I get a job like that?

I also love the PTS of OHMSS. I adore the dark shots of Laz, wearing his hat, then lights a cigarrete and all this with the Bond theme. Marvellous!
Great atmosphere in the PTS, and throughout the movie for me. It's a great movie. The only downside to me is Lazenby's slightly wooden acting, the dubbing of his voice at Piz Gloria, and the fact that he seems to have been asked to immitate Connery's accent.
But the atmosphere, action, love story, cinematography, scenery and music is spot on.

Now, now. We have to give him some credit. His fight scenes alone are worth a couple ticks (in the positive direction) and his “something more sociable” scene with Rigg could not have been better. Wooden works right to his advantage in that one; Bond is a man totally unstirred by the assaults from the fiery vixen.Actor: -10
The final scene had potential to be a total disaster, but instead, at the very least it can be said it works nicely.
As I’ve learned after two, back-to-back thorough inspections in which I paid attention to nothing but George Lazenby’s performance... the Lazzer does indeed have his moments.

In complete agreement there. Terence Young's stylish direction, John Barry's music and the whole atmosphere of the scene is high class Fleming at it's finest. Also, kudos to the similar casino scenes in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and GoldenEye.
10. GOLDENEYE - Another favorite is Bond's arrival at a casino in Monte Carlo.
I would say that ranks as Brosnan's best 5 minutes as Bond.
Another scene I like of this type occurs in Moonraker when Bond arrives and meets Drax at his French chateaux and later in the film when he arrives in Rio on the Concorde, is pursued by Manuela in her car(is it a Rolls Royce?) and then later when he enters the President suite and quips that if he gets lost he will take a cab. Definitely a great moment.

Yes, I agree, love that sequence.

Who can forget the scene in GF in the PTS with Connery looking at his Submariner and having that really cool look when the bomb goes off. Top!
I agree. I adore this scene. Very Bondain!
For some reason, I love the scene in The World is not Enough where Bond breaks into Davidovs office and later shoots him. A rarity from the Brosnan era: Bond in stealth mode.

I agree, I like that sequence too, it is mostly all done in darkness, too. He was also in spy mode when retrieving the missing decoder from Carver's safe in TND.

I also lie the scene in CR when Bond goes to meet Mathis. The sound of the Aston is stuuning and the whole atmosphere is very good.

Yes! Features one of my favorate lines, "Tell me Miss Trench, do you play any other games?"
