40 minutes! Who does Madonna thin she is, God?

I mean good God! This *****'s ego is off the charts!

Madonna: Well, I want my two videos on there plus the two songs and maybe some samples from my next album.

Exec.: What about the film score?

Madonna: Any other space you have, stuff it with that.

I know it's only a rumor, but if this happens, I'm going to spit at every Madonna pic I ever see! I never liked her and my disgust for her only got worse with "Music". UGH!

Rory.. Okenfold's "Signs" remix is some sort of a bootleg I found on XoloX, it is probably something he just hasn't published, it's not on the score release, and not on any album as far as i know. Lets hope that he does have a single release of his Bond theme remix with several different remixes. I'm with you walther, as I'm sure most everyone else is too.

My God! Get a grip!!!

You know it's only a rumor and you still blow a fuse? I mean really! Like Madonna is personally involved with the selection of what's on the actual soundtrack, it's not a one woman company you know, there are people in charge and I'm sure they have meetings with people concerned with Bond's well being. Stop pinning this all on Madonna, that's as unreasonable as you can get! She has never done any Making the Video episodes because she doesn't like doing those and I'm sure one of the main reasons she did one for this video because MGM and she herself thought it would be great promotion, so I'm sure MGM also had something to do with the idea of putting it on the CD.

But for God's sake, breathe and hold your horses before you jump to conclusions!!! And stop pinning this on just one person, that's way to easy!

Have a great day!!!

Chill Robster.

The only reason people are getting uptight is because rumours suggest that Maverick may do a hack job on the score to fit it on the CD. The fact the same thing has happened numerous times before is what really annoys people. As Bond fans our expectations are always high and after disappointing releases of Arnold's TND and TWINE, we were holding out hope we finally might get a CD containing a much larger proportion of the score. Also alot of attention seems to be being payed to Madonna and her track, and although Madonna fans would only buy the CD for her track, she is not bigger than Bond and I believe Bond fans should be considered before Madonna's when it comes to the release of the score.

In other words, make the single for the Madonna fans, and the album for the Bond fans, not both for Madonna fans thats pure selfishness.

Another prime example of a score comes to mind.... "Titanic", the only reason james horners score sold so well was because of that horrid (in my opinion) song by celine deon. There are alot of bond fans around the world, but in order for madonnas company maverick (it is her company robster, she does have control) to make any money they had to throw all that stuff on the disc. There just arent enough fans to fund say a 2 disc score set.

I'm also concerened that we won't get enough of the score. I'm disappointed with only getting a part of the The World is not Enough score, and with the extra content, I'm again worried that I won't get enough of the Die Another Day score.

I can tottally hear where you are coming from, believe me!!! If it was up to me and other Madonna fans we would say, put the whole damn score on the CD and put the making of the video on the DVD single. Indeed everyone would be satisfied then. But it's not up to us. And it's not entirely Madonna's decission as well. Sure she has some control, but the company is huge and she can't be blamed for everything that goes wrong with this score, that would be a bit naive, don't you think! And like everyone is saying, these are all mere rumors that you are getting so worked up over. Nothing's final! I am a massive Disney animation fan and it always amazed me that they never put the score on a decent soundtrack album, but if you think about it, a score is made up of a certain amount of themes and other parts are variations on those themes. Putting the entire score on one CD would be great for some fans, but a rather dull experience for others. Most of the time they do actually consult the composer to talk about the major themes and some interesting variations, but forget about the parts that don't really matter that much. You could have parts of a score that might be a few sounds, that get cut up for a few moments and then go back into the music again, if you'd put that on a CD just like that, it would not only sound weird, but terribly annoying as well. The only reason why they release soundtracks with the entire score of a , usually extremely succesfull, movie is because that way they can get even more money form a huge blockbuster. Most movies have to do with the themes and major variations. And in this case the theme song and the mix by Oakenfold. But we'll see what happens!!!

Have a great day!!!

I agree with you on all points Rob :)

Just a few things I thought I'd add to the discussion.

I think when people say 'Madonna' they use it more as a term, rather than a description of the person. Look at it like Madonna Inc. if you will. The company headed by Madonna. And that puts Madonna solely in the firing line. Like when something happens within any company, everyone goes straight at the neck of the boss.

Back to the score. Yeah, it wouldn't necessarily appeal to the audience at large to have the full score. But I do think that there's a general annoyance amongst Bond fans that we seldom get the full score. Star Wars have got the full scores in re-releases, and they've even got unused music etc... We don't get that for all of the Bond films. So we want it all now, cause the chances are we won't get the opportunity in the future.

wow the new Madonna CD! I mean the new Bond score....boy and to think I wanted music from the film, not thirty remixes of Madge's dance song.....maybe I won't pick up this one.....but it is rumor, so hey I'll just wait and see, maybe the big M will pull a miracle out of her :)...and give us what we actually want and just wait and put her newest dance hit onto her own CD....
