Ultimatum was practically one long action sequence. I hate the shakey-cam approach of Paul Greengrass. I liked the more classical approach of filming, using steady smooth movements with closeup inserts occasionally to convey that 'youre there' thing, just like that FRWL train fight, simple and beautiful.

When the camera is shaking on two people sitting in a diner you know there's a problem.

Bah, Cloverfield - the worst film I have EVER seen - made Supermacy and Ultimatum look sedate!

Really, eh?

I'm in the minority? LOL

Take a pole. Start a thread and see where people put Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum.

I don't think i'm in the minority with the opinion that The Bourne Identity will be THE movie of the three that will show up on the Top 10 Of The Decade lists.

As I said, take a pole.

I think you mean "poll". And yes really, I think you are in the minority ("LOL"!). Lets have a look at the reception to all 3 films on Rotten Tomatoes, from both the critics and the online community there:

Bourne Identity: Critics: 83% positive. Community: 94% (1082 user reviews)
Bourne Supremacy: Critics: 81% positive. Community: 92% (1422 user reviews)
Bourne Ultimatum: Critics: 93% positive. Community: 94% (1207 user reviews)

Hmmm. I'm not really seeing this drop off in popularity for the sequels that you're talking about. I know, lets check worldwide box office, that pesky shakey-cam must have affected the sequels' popularity.... oh:

Bourne Identity: $213 million
Bourne Supremacy: $288 million
Bourne Ultimatum: $442 million

Well how odd. I know, lets check the IMDB user ratings, people's dissatisfaction with the sequels is sure to be reflected there.... oh:

Identity: 7.6/10 (82,000 votes)
Supremacy: 7.5/10 (69,000 votes)
Ultimatum: 8.3/10 (84,000 votes)

Hold on... maybe someone already did a poll on which is the best Bourne film! Thats sure to prove your point... oh:

http://www.flixster....st-bourne-movie (Identiity 30%, Supremacy 22%, Ultimatum 47%)

The fact is that all 3 Bourne films are pretty much equally beloved, with the edge going to Ultimatum.

To sum up: you're in the minority

Well, it's good to see that while i'm at work making more money than I know what to do with, you're doing your homework.

I was talking about taking a poll on CBn...and lists on Dec 31, 2009.

The first you can do anytime now. The second, we'll have to wait for a while.

That charming post was the message board equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and going "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!". It also shows that money can't buy class lol

Luckily my financial security is such that it can survive me taking 5 minutes to google that info. Info that not only makes creating a new poll a totally redundant exercise, but also sinks your argument

And since that argument hinges on your remarkable prescience to see how peoples' opinions will radically alter come 2009, I'll leave it at that, while you carry on smoking
