as for readapting TMWTGG i wouldn't mind it so long as they leave the brainwwashed bond out of it. I hated it when i read it and i'd hate seeing it on the screen/ Boond can be dark and brooding ala fleming's bond but i don't want him turning into a villian even for a scene.

I think that the beginning of THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN would be great if it were adapted properly to the big screen. I don't really think that Bond is really a villain in that particular scene, as, in the novel, M goes to great lengths to say how it wasn't really Bond that was sitting in the room with him, but rather someone who was very mentally ill. I think that if they played it right, and showed Bond becoming very visibly angry when told of what he had done and who had put him up to it, that Bond wouldn't really come across as a villain in such an adaptation. IMO, Bond was just a puppet in that particular scene, and not really a villain.

sorry I don't agree HOWEVER I wouldn't mind another 00 going though that and Bond having to figure out what is going on.

Bond being brainwashed and pulling the trigger i dislike (mind you it;'s better than the golf chapter in goldfinger man that was boring) if they ever use it will i watch it probably but when it comes out on dvd i'll always skip that scene and enjoy the rest of the film (kind of like how now i can watch the first 2/3rds of Die another day it's just the climax is so stupid)

However something occured to me Bond and Camille having a similar relationship to Bond and Gala Brand is in my opnion not a good idea, (i've read moonraker and sure after 3 novels the character of 007 is still growing you can do thing like that however after 21 films i don't think the general audiecne will accept it)

However (consideirng this is right around the tiem ain't it cool realesed there M is mom report for Casino Royale) Maybe the film will be so good my worries will be unfounded and i will enjoy an amazing bond film.

The general audience will accept the relationship between Bond and Camille as neither romantic and sexual if it's handled properly, just like they accepted a Bond Girl (the main one) committing suicide towards the end of the film (CR of course). IMO it works both ways. As a reboot Bond is at the beginning of his secret service career so it works in the fashion it worked when Gala Brand turns him down in MOONRAKER.

Though he goes in with the intention (most of the time) of having sex and nothing more he can't quite stop falling for people, a fact that repeatdley haunts him when things go wrong. The supposed fact that Fields meets an unfortunate end (after presumably sleeping with Bond) I suspect will bolster this further. I like the implication that with Camille we'll see a type of relationship that (outside M and Moneypenny) he's never truly had with a woman---friendship.

Your probably right. I Hopefully will enjoy the sex less relationship as much as the rest of thefilm (i'm sure i will).

though i do wanna point out I'm not saying that the film will be bad or anything like that. I'm very excited for Quantum of solace (basically i don't want a lot of I told you so posts come november 7th)

Quantum is shaping up to look cool for an orgnization and Quantum of Solace is looking cool for a film. now give us the dam teaser already lol

"I'd like to see it continue for a bit, yes. From what I'm gathering it probably will. Even if the next film is standalone and doesn't involve them they could always return by Bond 24. After all, Spectre took a break from GF, then returned in TB. But I'd like to see a better conclusion with Quantum and its head than what we got in the films with Spectre."

******************

"The organization should definitely last another film or two. I think that it would be an unrealistic expectation to think that Bond could take down what appears to be a very extensive organization in just two films. That doesn't necessarily mean that every film that Craig is in has to feature the organization, but it should remain a problem for Bond for at least two more films (perhaps BOND 23 and then the leader of the organization resurfaces in BOND 25 after Craig gets a standalone adventure in BOND 24)."

Definitely!

"Property of a Lady" for Bond 25. Quantum is run by a woman! Just kidding.

I've always wanted to see this. It would be great.

My Idea for Quantum's legacy

I have 2 versions First is using post fleming novels second is not

Bond 23 Colonel Sun Basically the plot of the book with some basic changes (like Colonel sun is a member of Quantum) I'll post more on this when i actually come up with my Colonel Sun

Bond 24 Risico Craig's Stand alone bond film updating the drug smuggling plot of the short story Plus haveing some of the action set in Rome

Bond 25 The Hildebrand Rarity This is Quantum's return /big plot (including the Garden of Death and some elemnts from YOLT)

Bond 26 Shatterhand Bond's world wide search to destroy the leader of the ornization

Bond 27 The Property of a Lady Craig and possibly Dame Judi dench's last film orignal story.

second version

Bond 23 The Hildebrand Rarity This is Quantum's big plot (including the Garden of Death and some elemnts from YOLT)

bond 24 Hot Ice the last rements of Quantum are it's one surving member / client the Spangled Mob Biond tracks them down and stops them

Bond 25 Risico Craig's Stand alone bond film updating the drug smuggling plot of the short story Plus haveing some of the action set in Rome

Bond 26 The Death Collector Quantum (much to everyone's suprise returns)

Bond 27 Shatterhand bond's world wide search for the leader of Quantum.
