A couple more pictures of Craig on location in Panama can be found here. It's not clear if he's in character however. Trust the tabloids to have a go at the fact he's wearing a lifejacket again...

He's just out and about with Satsuki there.

The Daily Mail gets the lifejacket count wrong, this is his third time being photographed wearing one. You'd think they'd do some research on these things.

I was in Haiti in December about five years ago. It was 98 degrees.

and is that the same leather jacket from the Miami scene in CR?

That doesn't even look like a leather jacket...

actually it kinda does. I'm not sure how you can possibly tell that it isn't... considering almost the whole jacket is in shadow. It's also the same design as the leather one from CR... although admittedly maybe an inch longer...

It looks too tight and too light to be a leather jacket. The fabric doesn't look like leather and I've never seen a leather jacket with a pressed collar like that. Keep thinking what you want though...

lol... the collar is the same as the one on his jacket in CR. I actually HAVE a leather jacket with that kind of collar... perhaps you just haven't payed attention to leather jackets

I does look a bit light, but many thinner leather jackets tend to look that way... the CR one was no exception.

(and there's no need to be abrasive Righty)

Abrasive? You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to disagree and cite reasons why I disagree.

indeed. "Keep thinking what you want though..." is belittling and dismissive. Anyway, one way or another, it looks like a nice jacket.

Why would the new costume designer want to use the previous designers pieces of wardrobe. I don't think it's the same jacket.

The collar in your link is very different than the collar in the two new pictures. Here's an example (Pitt) of the type of collar on the jacket I'm saying isn't leather:

Alright, I concede defeat.. I just lightened the pic, and it's clear that you're right about the collar. I still think it might be leather though... it'll be interesting to see now, one way or another.

As much as I love the suits, the dress down wardobe has been superb in CR and now QOS. Hopefully we see more of it.

Craig must be a costume designer's dream though, because he just exudes cool... you could pretty much chuck anything on him and he would look good. I'm imagining Brosnan in the white trousers and jacket from the start of this thread... and he's looking like a bit of a dork!

It's amazing really, that someone could be as handsome as Brosnan, and yet still somehow come off like the DAD ON THE DANCEFLOOR.

So, Bond could not be in 'Haiti' in these "spy shots"...because a couple of people in this thread say that even in winter, Haiti is not exactly cool, especially in broad daylight.

So, it has to be 'Bolivia', BUT it has to be at a time of year when its cooler...i.e. winter...which would make it during the northern hemisphere's summer, during the Austrian summer.

This means that some months have to pass in the movie between:

The end of CR and the meeting with M outside in London (which takes place when its snowing);

AND also some months, perhaps 6 months pass between the London winter and the Bolivian winter, which, of course, occurs during the same time as the Austrian summer.

Does that makes sense? It means the events of Q0S take place over the course of an entire calander year.

What do people think of that?

It's certainly possible that QOS could take place over the course of a full year, or even more. I would imagine that, assuming that Bond defeats the Organization in BOND 23, that being able to track and monitor an organization of this size, and to do significant damage to it, would require more than the couple of months (if it was even that long) that transpired in CASINO ROYALE. It would probably take more than a year to do any real significant damage to an organization like the one that is behind Le Chiffre and Mr. White, so it's certainly possible that we'll see a Bond film transpire over that long of a period of time.

That all sounds extremely feasible, Hildebrand. I think a long timescale for QUANTUM OF SOLACE is very likely, especially given the relatively short period of time elapsed in CASINO ROYALE.
