Seriously, I thought it was the rest of it that was more impressive. That scene with the ropes and the art gallery had me catching my breath. The rest of it, though, looks a bit uninspired.

Why? What's not to love? The scene with the ropes was the worst part of the video to me.

It really looks fantastic. The action, the sets, everything.
Craig also shows that the role just oozes from his pores. QoS could be his GF, in the sense that in that film Connery really came to own the role.

It just looks extremely silly and looks to be just more needless action.
As a fellow who enjoys action in his Bond films I found it all rather appetite whetting. Can't wait to see more

Yes, indeed. This perhaps could be the action that was rumoured to have been shot at Farnborough aerodrome?Anyone else catch the brief flash of Felix standing in front of a plane next to an unidentified man?

Anyone noticed Felix at 2:23?

No sillier than the very silly car chase or ski chase in FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, a movie you love, or the car chase/rooftop pursuit in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. I'd actually argue it actually looks less silly than either.

As for the footage, I think we're getting a slick, polished, modern but at the same time gritty and suspenseful spy thriller. Sprinkle a little Ken Adam, Bond theme, and some action and voila! There you have it...
I have faith that surely this movie can't be worse than Casino Royale. Do any of you?

M: Well, ask him about Slate.
TANNER: (to headset) She wants to know about Slate. (to M) Slate was a dead end.
M: He killed him?
INT. HOTEL - HONEYMOON SUITE
M: This is about trust. I thought I could trust you.

The scenes with M, Tanner, and Bond look like they will be better than the M/Bond scenes in Casino Royale. The rest of it, though, looks a bit uninspired.
Who didn't see this coming?
Do you get a kick out of trying to bring everyone else down, or something?

As far as we know, Bond doesn't actually go to Cairo, and that he is laying a false trail by saying that he is.Hmmmm... sounds like Slate tails Bond to Cairo, where he meets a "dead end"...

Yep. I'd wager Slate's the chap Bond's fighting with on those ropes. So he's probably going to pop his clogs in Siena. As far as we know, Bond doesn't actually go to Cairo, and that he is laying a false trail by saying that he is.Hmmmm... sounds like Slate tails Bond to Cairo, where he meets a "dead end"...
