He had the balls to take this on. Even though he couldn't sing, we must respect his balls. B)

I have to agree with this. It's just a shame that he sounds like he's sitting on them when he's singing. I think my favourite review of Mamma Mia is the one that says Brosnan doesn't so much sing the songs, but in true Bond fashion sneaks up on them from behind and garrottes them. I'm a huge ABBA fan, but I've still not got round to seeing this movie. I was too embarrassed to queue up at the cinema, besides which I was still banned from the time I went to see St Trinian's.

I stumbled across this Remington Steele video on youtube the other day which may be of interest to the ABBA fans on this thread. Of all the songs written by Bjorn and Benny, which one do you think was the biggest hit in their home country of Sweden? If you've guessed an ABBA song you'd be wrong. If you've guessed a song from one of their musicals you'd also be wrong. Apparently, the swedish version of the song on this video went to no.1 in Sweden in 2004 and stayed there for a whopping 38 weeks. It then set a new swedish chart record by remaining in the charts for 243 weeks. Blimey, that's a chart run of over four and a half years! The Swedes must be absolutely pig sick of this song by now. The herring are so fed up with it, they're jumping out of the sea and pickling themselves. The song has only recently been translated into english. Bjorn and Benny may have vowed never to reform ABBA, but they can obviously still write an ABBA song when they want to, because this sounds very much like ABBA in their early 70s period.
