Blofeld and SPECTRE would be amazing, they could so easily be made into a modern and very sinister organisation.

Wouldn't it be nice if Dominic Greene was the new Blofeld?!
Think like this: In Dr. No we hear about an organization, just like in Casino Royale. In From Russia With Love we meet the organization and the leader(Blofeld), what if we met the organization and it's leader(Greene) in Bond 22. So it would be like Greene is Bond's "new" nemesis in the next 5, 6 movies or something because he arranged Vesper's death. I think it would be great. What do you think?

Although the Greene/Blofeld theory will probably never happen i too like the idea. Not Greene being Blofeld but possibly Greene being the leader of a new organzation like Raymond Benson's the Union. I also think that the Benson Union trilogy stories should be adapted to the screen. They could possibly be great vehicles for Craig's Bond.

Something very similar it seems yes. I would also put a considerable bet on it being SPECTRE, the whole thing (from the info we have heard) reeks of SPECTRE all over to me, and it would be in line with the regeneration of Bond and bringing back Felix Leiter etc.

I know one thing for sure, if this shadowy criminal organisation isn't SPECTRE then it's clearly heavily based on them, and if so it would be a shame because it would just not be the same and I'd find myself just wishing it was SPECTRE throughout the films.

I've seen people mention the Union Corse also, but it can't be the Union because Marc Ange Draco isn't evil enough to be behind all this, he's more of a criminal businessman who's still got scrupples and sanity. Also Bond gets to meet him in OHMSS and they become friends, and Bond clearly has no real disslike for the man and his organisation.

I think that it would be great if they used Benson's The Union for a Bond film, although it just couldn't happen for a very, very long time in the future. I would though, at some point down the line, love to see Benson's DOUBLESHOT and NEVER DREAM OF DYING made into films.

But, IMO, using The Union would be a much better move for the franchise than backtracking to the 1960s and using Blofeld and SPECTRE again.
