Yeah, it was Roger Moore the other week. Now it's Dalton. I suppose Brozza will be along next!

Very, very cool.

"FLASH GORDON" is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

How much are tickets?

Is New Beverly Cinema easy to get to?

Just a short note on the event. Pictures and quotes to come later. Edgar Wright, director of Hot Fuzz, created last night's event which showcased Flash Gordon. He and Dalton introduced the film and then had a Q&A afterwards. The film is a lot of fun and with a sold out audience all the better. If you have never seen FG before give it a chance. Dalton was in great spirits and quite funny. I had a feeling that he was going to take everything very seriously, but he was quite the opposite. The memories he had of the film were terrific. He did not have any questions about Bond as the event was for FG only.

Overall a great time with some wonderful CBNers who I am sure will give some more info on the event.

P.S. It seems as if Dalton does NOT sign Bond memorabilia.

I am disappointed that I didn't make this. Traffic was awful and by the time I got there it was an hour in, so I didn't bother. I've met Dalton before and he is probably the only celebrity I've ever met that has some sort of aura about him -- I just don't know what or why it is. He seems like a sincere and honest guy.

Anyway, good to know he was in good spirits.

I'm really sorry you missed it Mac (I was saving a seat for you just in case). It was a terrific evening. I've never seen Flash Gordon, so this was a perfect way to see it for the first time. Audience was just going crazy -- laughing and cheering throughout. Dalton (who said he hadn't seen it since 1980) was so moved/excited about the reaction he said he was going to call the director today to tell him about it. Timmy was awesome on screen and off.

But, yeah, he wouldn't sign Bond memorabilia (but would sign anything else). Wonder what that's all about.

He never signs Bond material. Not since 1994, anyway. Even if someone sends him something Bond-related to sign through the post, he'll send it back unsigned, and send them a signed photograph instead.

Sounds like this was quite an event, though. Thanks for the write-ups, chaps! :P :D

Sounds like a great time. I wasn't aware that he never signed Bond items though.

I seriously thought about flying into LA yesterday AM and back this AM just to get the chance to meet Dalton. Unfortunatly it would have cost too much and the timing was bad. I'm really sorry I missed it :D

He signed some Bond stuff for me when I ran into him in 2002. Maybe you just have to catch him at the right time or something?

Yeah, I'm really disappointed about it actually. Traffic from the west side was just awful and I got a late start also, but I probably should have just shown up late anyway. I've never seen FLASH GORDON either, so I was looking forward to it and meeting Timothy Dalton again.

ARGH!

Crikey! You must be the exception to the rule, Macca! :P

He must have been in an extremely good mood that day.

Let's say that he hardly ever agrees to sign any Bond-related items, then. :D

If you really want to see Flash Gordon, it's playing again tonight.

Last night was a total blast! I had a lot of fun with everyone and of course the movie is wonderful.
