In your opinion which was the best and which one was the worst...and why?

I'm going to go for OHMSS, I know it's my favorite and all, so this may sound biased, but it's very well made, some memorable moments as well, like when Bond knocks the thug off the cliff, not to mention his and Tracey's attempted escape, resulting in her capture due to the avalanche.
Worst: I choose TWINE, don't get me wrong it's a good film, but this scene felt rather pointless, it is a tad enjoyable, but it lacks the excitement of other ski scenes.
On another note, I must be the only one that is not at all bothered about 'California Girls' playing during the pre-title sequence of AVTAK, it's not a decision I would have personally made, but it doesn't make me cringe or anything.

OHMSS
FYEO
TSWLM
If pressed,I'd go with OHMSS as my fave. But It's tough to choose over FYEO.
Shame about the skiing sequence in TWINE. It just runs along rails, the parahawks seem more of a hazard to their occupants than anyone else, and there is no real sense of jeopardy.
VTAK. It's been so long since I watched it,as VTAK is my least favourite of the series, that I almost hesitate to comment. But I recall that after a promising opening with Bond retreiving the mcguffin from the dead agent,it rapidly went south and, yes,California Girls did make me groan(and not with pleasure!).
I think the booby prize, for sheer flaccidness, goes to TWINE.

I must say I do love the PTS of TSWLM, just a classic ski chase. OHMSS is great too, as is FYEO.
I enjoy the others. I just get annoyed by the Beach Boys over the top of the AVTAK one.

I would have said AVTAK would have been worst ski chase for that very reason, but it also got bonus points for originality as it was only Bond film in which Bond snowboards rather than skis.I enjoy the others. I just get annoyed by the Beach Boys over the top of the AVTAK one.
Oh and this thought just occurred to me. If we're referring to best ski chase sequences, then can we count the brief water-SKI sequence in LTK?

That's a great scene...

Especially the line "See you back at the lodge.."

Least: AVTAK. "California Girls", underwhelming chase, and an iceberg sub... Not a popular PTS with me.

The best one is FYEO. I dont think we'll ever see a ski chase as fast and intensive as this one.
That one is a lot of fun. One thing right after another with the initial chase, the ambush and then the bobsleds.

And the ski chase is really good, involving motorbikes and the big ski jump.

I'm hoping BOND 22 can provide us with a ski chase that's intense, fast, and hard-edged. I think the potential is there for Forster and co. to provide us with the best ski chase of the franchise.

Me too. With a pigeon double-take thrown in for the Moonraker fans.

I also think Bill Conti's score helps a lot in this scene. And I like the song 'Runaway' during the ski chase, but I can't help but thinking it zaps some of the suspense out of the rest of the sequence.
OHMSS still rules the ski sequences with TWINE in last.

Followed by AVTAK, which is otherwise boring for me, but gets a bonus point for the decade-ahead-of-its-time snowboarding aspect, though it forfeits half that point for the California girl

I definitely agree that the ski chase in TWINE was so tired that it made me yawn. They could have done a much better job with that. I have even heard that Pearce Brosnan had to learn how to ski before the film. Thank goodness for stunt doubles!!!

I would probably rank FYEO second after OHMSS-it's really long [I like long action sequences that you can get sucked into] and features Bill Conti's best scoring in the film. The people pursuing Bond actually seem quite skilful themselves. TSWLM is also great but a little short. As for AVTAK,I don't actually mind the Beach Boys bit,it's typical Moore Bond, silly but fun silly. Which leaves TWINE-just mediocre, not especially bad, just uninspired.

May be wrong, but I believe Iain Johnstone's The World is Not Enough: A Companion has bit about that skiing sequence.

I don't remember TWINE ski scene cause I haven't seen that movie in a while (it's funny I remember they wouldn't stop showing it on TV but then they stopped and I still don't own it so..blah)
