A: That is precisely the reason why I didn't see it. Because this is still an open wound to me, I still feel tricked. After 'Pulp Fiction', I tried to buy the rights to CR, who were held by Ian Fleming's heirs. But along came the Broccolis and grabbed the rights to everything that Fleming had ever written.
Ah, yes, the Broccoli family suddenly entered the Bond movie world in 1995. Someone should inform Quentin that Bond movies were made by the Broccolis before 1995. In fact, as far back as 1962 if memory serves.
They didn't even want to meet with me, about which I'm still p***ed to this day. And what's worse: they didn't even thank me after their movie became a success.
It's probably because you offered the idea of a CR movie with Brosnan as a period piece, which is not what they did with CR 2006, which was a current, 2006 dated modern movie with an actor named Daniel Craig. Sounds way different to me. Thought the idea of a parkour chase in 1952 might be interesting. Was this your idea too ?
A: The Broccolis had stated publicly that CR couldn't be filmed. Then, I talked to the press about my plans, to get things going and maybe arrange a meeting. Then you could suddenly read all over the internet. "That is the Bond movie all Bond fans long for." That means, I created a request that didn't exist before. At least, their director should have called me.
Hmm, it took them until 2004/2005 to decide that Bond 21 would be CR, you first spoke of this back in 1996/1997 ?. I don't call that sudden. No really, You're just soemone who bullies his way into the movie world with his mouth, yapping and yapping and yapping like "your" characters do, and after ripping off your past friends ideas and scripts, (not mentioning other authors), and taking your oscar without thanking the guy who wrote the best part of Pulp Fiction (that's Roger Avary in case you forgot he was standing just behind you), you now have decided on a cloud, that you were the creator of Fleming novels adaptations on the movie screen. I say it's time for a trip to Betty Ford.
You're welcome to answer if you ever read this forum. (Which I suspect you do).
