This is coming from a man who once said "who is your floor".
Tabloid toilet, folks. Tabloid toilet.
"Who iz your floor?"
Ah, a real interesting take on an English-speaking Dutchman, don't you think?

Wouldn't really want to see Fleming tinkered with to the extent that Andrew is actually alive.

Yah. You iz good point.Even if Sean were willing, Andrew Bond died while James was a child.
Wouldn't really want to see Fleming tinkered with to the extent that Andrew is actually alive.
I was first, uhm..., well..., excited about this idea. But, reality sets in. Seeing Sir Sean in the franchise, dare I say it, just wouldn't fit.
As father? Craig is firmly established as an orphan, true to the character.
As an uncle? Freakishly not.
As "M"? Really freakishly not.
A 'Richard Branson' style cameo? Hmmm.....

The "Bond was getting too sci-fi" answer has never really flown with me because he made "Zardoz" a couple of years after making DAF. So that wasn't too sci-fi for him?

Maybe concerntrate on another character like Henry Jones Snr.
I have no problem with Sean Connery's last film LXG,it was very entertaining.
Also we should add George Lazenby as a good Bond Ambassdor he seems to make all the conventions from the photos i have seen.

Ok, find some fantastic global talent that's not tabloid material to surround him in the next 2 movies as they did with CR.
I mean, we have just seen the birth of an outstanding new Bond and we do not need any tabloid baggage to screw up the next few missions.
Just build on Daniel. Get Dench in and, if needed, Jeffery Wright...but just leave it at that for now.

As a tight-fisted, miserable old codger who hates everyone and everything?

Connery is also assuming Eon would want him in Bond 22.. my guess is no (especially after 40-odd years of -talking)..

I really don't think a cameo can be done well, even in a Bond film.. I don't want to see Roger Moore creepily stalking around corners winking at the camera, and I sure as hell don't want to see a pissed off old Connery mocking up some long lost uncle (or even just standing there counting money)..

And how he conducted himself when Cubby died....

How is a poison-tipped blade a "science fiction gizmo"?
No kidding, I just got done reading FRWL. THe only gizmos I remember are the breifcase, I found rather nice, and the shoe blade. I'll have to watch FRWL to make sure. Both are straight out of the book, which was nice to see how close the book and movie are.
