This long overblown action short film crap has to go. I'd rather it be straight espionage with minor action along the lines of Royale, Goldfinger, and other early Connery films, but I get the feeling that'd be asking for too much. Casino Royale was hopefully a turning point.

My only thought would be that we don't pick up right at the end of CR. Again, maybe going back to something like Goldfinger. Bond wrapping up some unrelated assignment and then after the credits, we catch back up to whatever became of White and his organization.
*tosses two pence on the table*
I'm of two minds about this. On one hand I think it'd be great and be something new (to have the beginning pick up right at the end of CR). On the other hand I'd love to see something unrelated to the main body of the film.
Only time will tell.

Another way that they could go, and this may be a bit of a stretch though, is to have Bond on another mission that would appear to be something completely unrelated to Mr. White and his organization, only to find out that, at the end of the PTS, that Mr. White was very much involved in what he was investigating, and then have it go into the title track hanging on that thread, making Bond come to the realization that Mr. White's operations are on a much larger scale than he or MI6 had previously thought.

Just had a thought...how about when Bond realizes Mr. White is still at large we zoom into Bond's eyes and segue into the main titles (a gimmick I loved ever since I read it in the first draft of TWINE). Then the MTS can be sort of a montage of clips from Casino Royale, with Klienman's own spin of course.

I don't like the idea of him being "at large". Dead or captured. Otherwise it's either too convenient a set up from a writer's stand point or Bond comes off looking incompetent and the cool ending to Casino Royale was wasted.
I don't mind what tdalton is suggesting. It depends on how that's set up. Maybe Mr. White talked to Bond and told him something and based on that intel M sends Bond. What may be interesting is to have that be the case only for the intel to be bad - a setup. Bond goes to a warehouse and it explodes and he has to get out - something like that, but more Bondian. Something where it goes incredibly wrong. Another idea, which I believe I previously wrote about here is for White to pull a "Risico" where the intel he gives about his organization isn't actually about his organization, but rather a competitor. So Bond goes, he sees some terrorists, arms deal, whatever believes it to be White's organization and he decides to take action only it negatively effects MI6 by making White's organization that much more powerful and controlling. I haven't really thought it out, but something to this effect - more or less

I want the teaser like this:
James Bond: Where is he? I shan't ask you politely next time. Where is Mr. Black?
Mr. White: Ca-Ca-Cairo.
lol!!!!

I agree.I don't really have a preference. Whatever works best for the film.
Although in general, I would like it to be just a little bit longer than Casino Royale's.

BOND: Cairo... Where?
WHITE: Pyramids. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhh! (splat)
(White falls to his demise from a rooftop. For no reason)
A better, more fitting homage than any of DUD, if I do say so myself.

The Gunbarrel, which opens on a boat sailing with the backdrop of Venice. Bond running around the boat frantically steering it towards the shore, we close up on his cell phone, showing Bond's last message from Vesper. We see his movements up to that sniper position. We then see Mr White driving up. We see Bond dial his cell phone, we see close ups of his eyes and his mouth as he says the words 'we need to talk'. From then on we see what we saw at the end of the CR (except with different music), Mr White is shot, he claws his way along the ground. Bond stands over him, and smoothly announces his name, and rather than the Bond Theme, the opening bars of theme tune 22 (26?) close the scene. Credits roll, and we pick up that scene after the credits.

The whole effectiveness of CR's final scene is that Bond has reduced this mysterious villain into a snivelling, crawling wreck, and when he utters the immortal line, Mr White has no escape.
Bond will look pretty stupid if he says the line, only for people to shoot at him.
Bond made mistakes throughout the whole of CR, the final scene works because he's completely in control, and I think Craig's gonna look pretty daft if he looses it within seconds.
