I think Solitaire is a pretty name Vesper is too but, I wouldn't give it to my child. My name is Alana and all my life teachers and some friends have pronounced it as Ah-lain-nah (sometimes I didn't even worry about it with the teachers because they still pronounced it wrong...it's pronounced Ah-la-nah,but many other people got it right so it's not too bad. Sometimes I am surprised when a person pronounces my name correctly.)I like my name. lol

I actually never thought of girl names because I want my first born to be a boy and I've thought of those( even though I don't plan on having kids any time in the near future.)

I agree with the poster who said they would name their daughter Eva instead of Vesper.

I think the name "Bond" would be a great first name for a boy.

I do think Bond is a fine first name; however, the only person I've ever met with Bond as a first name was a woman from Japan. I'm truly not sure what to make of that.

My japanese sister in law has that for a middle name, shes says she was named after the film character but she doesn't pronounce it right.

It's odd that I have met and know many girls with Bond related names.

Should I ever find myself saying "I do." someday with someone and children come about, if whoever "Mrs. Bryce" turns out to be, well, a few things would be set forth.

I mean, she'd clearly know she was marrying both a Scot and a Bond fan.

Whenever friends have asked me about similar issues with naming a child, I've always joked that having a little "Charlene or Charlie" running about might be fun. As to Bond girl names, I always thought that a girl named either Domino, Tiffany, Tracy or Anya would be great and she'd know where it came from.

I like the sound of "Vesper" although I wouldn't select it as a name for my child (and I have three sons and two daughters, so I've had to pick ten names so far). By the way, is it still the thing to have four names in the UK? Like J.R.R. Tolkien?
