At the start of the scene where Bond gets his tailored DJ, we see Vesper with "no makeup", before she starts applying the dark eyeshadow, lipstick etc.

Who else things she looks far better without the makeup, far more fanciable.

Whoa, thats sooooo weird. While we were watching that scene, my friend leaned over to me and said, "dude, she looks really hot right there." And I couldn't agree more. :)

In my opinion she looks hot without make up or with it but yeah in that scene she was really beautiful!

I must admit that only once before have I actually felt really sad when a Bond girl met her demise. I remember seeing OHMSS at age 10 and crying when Tracy got it at the end. Well, those old feelings came back when Vesper took those final mouthfulls of water. Call me a wuss or too sensitive but damn Vesper (EVA) is smoking hot...hot...hot...and I hate to see her go.

"THE BITCH IS DEAD" :)

I'm another admirer of the "natural" look. Defo looks better.

But Solange bouncing up and down on the horse in that green bikini.......

I've been saying that here at the forum ever since the 17th of November. Geezus, she's so gorgeous in that scene.

I thought Vesper looked most attractive with all of her make-up on and in that purple dress... ahhhh. But she looked gorgeous without the make-up also.

agree :)

no wonder why she wants people to focus on her acting and not her being just beautiful....maybe the heavy make-up is to get out that prettiness...

either way....she is great!

She looked so, SO beautiful in that scene. That was possibly the most beautiful I've ever seen her. She looked fantastic all the time, but her face looked so naturally gorgeous in that particular scene.

She was beautiful in all her scenes... but in that scene in the bathroom w/ no make up she is gorgeous! I think part of her beauty in that scene is also because of the scene itself. It's a really great scene between them.

This is a hopeful sign for a woman that hates to wear/apply/smudge makeup!

Ohh wait, you have to look like Eva Green for that rule to apply :)

why?
because she is "so beautiful, it indecent" quoted by Bertolucci and it's very true.

I find her almost ugly with her intense dracula make-up...

without it tho.. she's really hot.

I agree. It's too bad she didn't go for the natural look in the rest of the film. Her excessive makeup in her other scenes mars an otherwise fine Bond girl performance from her.

Yeah. I've always said she looks better without makeup. Also look at the image from the deleted scene at the train station (when shes wearing a hat)

I think she looks drop dead gorgeous in both ways - with or without. It's just that trust me guys, you can't wear a dark evening dress w/o any make-up or you would look half dead! I luved her both ways though I think what made her really stand out in the dinner-jackets scene was that she looked human... With the intense eye make-up it just made me thing about the lines between her and Bond about his armor... seriously ironic. WHO is wearing the armor there? *cough*make-up*cough* Lol... Either way, wish I was as pretty! Lucky Eva...

Maybe Vesper, when made up, has her armor on like Bond? And the contrast, when she's seen without it, is what takes our breath away. And Bond's, if that's when he begins to fall.

Exactly... I just found that VERY unusual and quite a good twist on the very typical Bond stuff. Actually, it almost beat Bond's "Honey Ryder" moment in terms of symbolism if you ask me.

I agree, I thought her lips looked nicer without the bright red lipstick. Not that it didn't look good with it on, she is such a natural beauty that she looked good regardless..

I'd gladly sit in a shower, in full tux, with her or any of the Bond Girls here on CBn.

It's worth the dry-cleaning or valet service.
