Did they blow it by not releasing '22 in 2007?

Well look what happened with Live And Let Die. It was a huge hit and then they rushed The Man With The Golden Gun out and we all know what happened with that.
Yeah. We got another great Bond film.

Yeah. We got another great Bond film.
And to me, it was a much better Bond film than it's immediate predecessor. And dare I say it...better than it's successor too

I think this is only a big deal to fans. Besides, CR is opening in 2007 in some countries so they can still play up the 2-007 angle there...and they can do it with the DVD release if they like. But it really isn't that clever a thing to reschedule a film, rush another, or kick yourself for having missed.well? I think a Bond film in just a year from now would be just as big as it would in '08. Craig is a hit and CR's ending leaves unfinished business for 007... Are they(Eon) kicking themselves now for not getting it off the ground for the special(marketing dream) 2-007 release date?
thoughts?

Yes EON/MGM/Sony definitely did blow a great opportunity by not releasing a Bond film in the year 2007. I have a feeling though when New Year's Eve comes along, the newspaper and TV ads will same someting along the lines of "Bring in 2007 with 007!" or something similar.
