Casino Royale Mistakes

When Vesper comes outside to talk to Bond after he's lost and they argue about the five million, she's wearing these black see-through sleeve-thingies on her dress. But before and after, when she's in the casino while he plays, she has bare arms.

They had said that in CR we see how Bond got his DB5. If you remember this had caused some complains, because it is explicitly shown in GF that it is Q that provides Bond with the car. It seems that these complains were right, since the DB5 we see in the previous films (GF, TB, GE) have the wheel on the right, whereas the one in CR has it on the left.

Oh, and another thing:

Well, that is a continuity issue and since there is no continuity between Casino Royale and the other films there is no mistake.

Agreed. That's why I avoided using the word mistake. Just a sidenote, I guess...

I thought that was a cardigan-type shawl that she wears when she goes outside to avoid the cold. Most stylish! When Vesper comes outside to talk to Bond after he's lost and they argue about the five million, she's wearing these black see-through sleeve-thingies on her dress. But before and after, when she's in the casino while he plays, she has bare arms.

I spotted a big mistake. It was right at the start and lasted about 2 and a half hours.
Really? Did you? How clever of you.
Now run along to your teachers in kindergarten and tell them this. They may even give you a gold star for such intelligent observation. You'll be top of the class in no time.

In the tanker bit, I'm pretty sure the police shoot out all 4 sets of tyres. Yet the scene continues for some time after that, and those tyres look pretty intact to me
At least two of the dual rear tires on the back of that fuel truck are shot. Also, the tank on the back of the truck was shot, allowing jet fuel to leak out of it. I'm not sure about the flammability of jet fuel compared to regular petrol gasoline, but when the fuel truck is driven into the side of a bus, and then over a barricade of police cars in close proximity to the Skyfleet jet, small explosions were taking place. This could have very well set off the jet fuel in the truck, allowing the cinematic Le Chiffre to achieve his goals without using the external detonating device that Bond puts on Carlo's belt. And just how far away from the fuel truck is Carlos the terrorist when he accidently blows himself up? We know he's somewhere away from it, but the leaking jet fuel does have a strong flammable odor, doesn't it? Such incongruencies are the result of a frantic shooting schedule, and will be talked about for years to come.

Bond would check the phone once to make sure then it would be in his mind!

if anyone else had noticed the following.
During the scene in the collapsing Venetian house when Bond is
tackling the henchmen. The aluminium suitcase carrying the money
gets knocked into the water under the falling debris of the building,
apparently lost forever.
However, later when Bond is seen failing to revive Vesper, we see
an angle shot of Mr White looking at Bond, holding said case.
Did i miss anything, or were we to of presumed that a diver was
sent into the canals of Venice to find the case.
Not so much as a mistake.......but an unexplained part of the story?

And is it true that Bond jumps in to the water to save Vesper he's wearing the watch but when he's in the water the watch isn't on any more?
On another note, not sure if it's mentioned anywhere, but does Bond use a Walther PPK in CR?

I've seen the film 4 times, and having read this thread i wondered
if anyone else had noticed the following.

apparently lost forever.

It was either unexplained or got left in the editor's cutting room and never made it to the finished film.

After the game, Bond tells Leiter that Le Chiffre is now "all yours". The assumption I made was that the CIA would go in there and then to arrest him, but apparently not (which seems slightly bizarre). Vesper tells Bond that she got a message from Mathis saying that the CIA had made contact with Le Chiffre, but this was clearly not the case and probably part of the deception. The CIA seem to disappear completely. Are you sure Felix tells Bond that he's going to pick Le Chiffre up in the morning after the game? Doesn't he just say thanks and later on I recall him saying that they've made contact at some point...

a new one for you...
unless I am very confused, Bond is sh**ing Solange at 11pm (you can see his watch), then gets info that Dimitrios is off to Miami. He follows him there and goes to the Bodyworks exhibition, which has a poster saying open 24/7, so no problem with plausibiliy there. By now it must realistically be 1:00 am earliest. He then trails Dimitrios' contct to Miami international airport. Call it 1:30am.
The airport is suspiciously busy for that time of nicht, don't you think? There would be no Virgin Atlantic flights takign off at that time.
can confirm that Miami airport was not even that full in early evening, let alone middle of the night, when I was there recently! ;-)
