What do you think of CR - on a scale of 1-10

10 :P

Fantastic Stunts, action, dialouge, character development, music and probably the best torture scene in movie history!!

Bond is most definatly back :)

7.

Although I have a strong feeling that my second viewing will bump it up to at least 9.

Mods, how about adding a poll to this thread?

On my old Bond scale, it gets a 10 no question, with only one or two movies matching it. But it's kinda rewritten the rulebook, so:

9 (because there's always slight room for improvement).

The movie is just incredible. Really different, but remarkably directed and the cast is awsome. Almost perfect.
I gave it 9.

I tried to avoid "grade inflation" with my vote... :)

CR is a very, very good movie --- period --- and one in the upper echelon of Bond movies.

8.5 out of 10, rounding down to 8. I applaud the character development, but not so sure CR needed 2 hours, 24 minutes to do it. All else: superb.

10. Brilliant. Welcome to the era of Craig, second only to the Connery era. Craig's an amazing actor (that torture scene!! AHH) and he nailed the nuances of Bond. As a Bond movie, as a film, as a measure of acting....10. Thank you DC.

I gave it a nine, purely cos I feel ten would be to call it perfect, which is surely cannot be. I will say that it is the best Bond film in a very, very long time.

What's so remarkable is that this is actually a good movie as well as a good Bond movie. Fantastic. I can see that those who would like another Moore or Brosnan style outing would be very dissappointed.

It gets a 10 from me, I put it up with FRWL & OHMSS not sure whether it's better, definetly enjoyed it as much if not more on my 2nd viewing today when I took the wife, she enjoyed it but thought it was too lovey dovey, I explained that this was necessary to the story but she said she wanted it to move on, probably the view of a lot of non Bond fans.

I personally loved it and it exceeded my hopes for a great Bond movie, not just that a great movie period, and I will say my fav of the year or at least my most enjoyable experience at the flicks in 2006

For the first time in 17 years, Bond begins again and hallelujah to that.

While it was good I'm giving Royale an 8. I'll give Daniel time to fit into the role.

9, it seems to me there was something I didn't like, but I'm still in some sort of post-CR condition that keeps me from thinking very clearly!

For a Bond movie, 10 (same as I give to a few others, and I don't think any is less than, say, a 4), so that's what I voted.

As a movie on its own merits, somewhere between 8 and 9. Clearly better in that regard than any of the others.

I gave it a 9. Like my old theatre teacher, I don't believe in the perfect performance. Of course, this came pretty damn close.

Well having just seen it and being more than pleasantly surprised, I gave it a 10. Should be a 9 or a 9.5. But I have to give extra for proving me wrong and putting a smile on my face. Wow! :)

Let's not derail this thread, but do you give Craig at least passing marks?

With flying colours!!!! The thing about Craig is that he (wisely) didn't try to copy the other Bonds. He just played it straight and low key.
He wasn't slick or charming. But he was still likeable. I actually rooted for him. His performance reminded me why I love the character so much.

The thing about CR it's 'different' from other Bond films. But different in a good way. I should really thank you guys for giving me a hard time. I thought that if I was going to participate in the forum, and criticise Craig/CR I might as well see the film and know what I am talking about. And here I am fully converted!

By the way, that damn full length trailer didn't do Craig any favours. The person who cut it should be sacked.

I give it a 10. I loved the movie...I think it is possibly the best Bond film ever.
Not too much of the James Bond theme which had been criminally overused in the Brosnan era and I am not sure why people complain about the theme song...I cannot stop humming it.

I am concerned though. I saw the movie with the regular public tonight and their reaction was very different from the audience at the press screening. Three people walked out during the torture scene and the end of the movie was met with silence.
As I was leaving I also heard more than one person complaining that it just wasn't a Bond movie.

Gave it a 10. Really, I can't ask for anything more then this out of a Bond movie. Probably the closest to the "full package" as we're gonna get.

Most fun in the theatre (at a big-ticket film) since the first PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie.
