Yeah observed that earlier too.

It appears that the "learn to count" or "you've had your ten" line has been cut from the Madagascar crane-top scene.

Yea, that was a good throwback to Connery - but it seems to work just as well with just action, from the 1min clip.

Very glad about this one, there were lots of Americanisms in the Brosnan films (Station Break, Frequent flyer miles etc)

The way villains Carlos and Gettler meet their demises have been changed. both a little more icky than the script.

Ooooh - exciting :) But I'm going to be good and leave myself with some spoilers for the actual movie!!

Thought I'd bump this back up the board a bit. I noticed several changes, and omissions of scenes (even some that were actually filmed). Probably improved the pacing of the movie. Please add to this script-readers!

- Bond's introduction at the cricket match in Pakistan (filmed at Eton College) omitted. No actual indication where the bathroom fight occurred.

- No scene showing Bond meeting Bliss on the train to Montenegro and consequently replacing him. Con O'Neill who was cast in the role did not feature on the end credits.

- Omission of Bond arriving at hospital following his torture and beating at the hands of Le Chiffre (scenes filmed at Plana, Czech Republic).

There are several more points I noticed, but can't remember them at the moment. Please note that these are NOT criticisms - merely observations about the evolution of the script!!

In the Bahamas? Yes. But it's now a hideous gold coloured Land Rover!

Another detail I've just remembered is that there is no longer any mention of Saddam taking a dislike to Le Chiffre and executing him.

I haven't read the script but I saw a scene filmed for the MIA sequence involving the truck crashing through the lower half of an aeroplane which has been entirely cut.

I think this was shown on the UK Fifth Gear program.

I'm sure I heard someone say that in the script, at the end of the free running chase, he gives up the bomber guy, but only shoots him after the bomber guy spits at him?

I was disappointed that in the film, he didn't spit.

There was originally a fairly clumsy line where Mollaka asks Bond his name because he likes to know who he kills, and then Bond replies before shooting him.

Another point is that Le Chiffre tells Bond directly that Mathis has betrayed him rather than this being overheard in a telephone conversation.

Yes I also saw this on a behind the scenes programme. I think it's probably a good thing, as the tanker crashed through so many things it was already veering close to overkill.

Here's what I noticed was changed (a *lot* of this stuff was filmed, too):

-The PTS is a *lot* shorter. The stuff that showed Bond walking at the cricket match has been cut (but we know it was filmed).

-Bond and Mollaka's dialogue exchanges ("You've had your ten" and "See, you already had your answer") are entirely removed.

-Carlos' death is much darker than in the December draft.

-A rather extraneous scene with Bond being retrieved from jail is gone.

-The scene with Bond replacing Arlington Beech on the train has been cut.

-Bond has more stuff to say to Mathis in the lunch scene in the December draft.

-Obanno had a gorier death in the December draft (he was shot in the throat at point-blank range with Bond's gun, splattering blood all over him and Vesper).

-Vesper's dialogue about her gambling father (the balcony scene, after Bond has lost) has been cut.

-Le Chiffre's dialogue about Mathis, after the car chase, has been modified to be a little more explicit.

-The shots of Bond being rolled into the hospital (this was filmed) has been left on the cutting room floor. Furthermore, a moment where Bond, in a daze, tries to get scissors to kill Mathis is nowhere to be found.

-Bond and Vesper's skinny-dipping scene has been left on the cutting room floor (shots can be visible in the trailer).

-Bond is the one who locks Vesper in the elevator in the script.

-In the December draft, Gettler died by getting a wooden stake shoved through his throat.

-This was filmed, I believe - Vesper takes photos of Bond while they're in bed. Bond later looks at these on the laptop during the "call with M" scene, only to hurl the laptop into the water (this was certainly filmed - footage is visible in the Sony promo).

-There's a lot more with Bond putting the whole Gettler/Vesper/money stuff together in the December draft. It's more streamlined in the film.

That's all I can think of. Some of this we know was filmed, so I wouldn't be that surprised if it shows up in a director's cut edition to be released later on DVD.

A couple of others that I am aware of:

Obanno explaining the relevance of the child playing pinball at the beginning. Obanno explains he can trust the kid as he asked the kid to kill his own family which he did. This is the type of trust which can't be bought, so why should he trust Le Chiffre?

The torture scene features more Valenka. She comes out in the middle of torturing Vesper to ask for some more implements she can use on her.

Agreed. (It might actually have been the Jonathan Ross Film 2006 show.)

They didn't use any of the footage from the inside of the bus to show the passengers' surprise either - as show as being filmed on some other program - possibly the aforementioned Fifth Gear.

I wish this was included. It seems kinda silly without it.

Mads Mikkelsen also talked in interviews about a 'very realistic' fight scene he did with Craig (he stated that he'd beat Craig at poker, but not in a fight). What was that all about?

A shot of Bond sitting in a jail cell, then Villers comes and gets him out. No dialogue, that's it.

"you've had your ten"

That would've been nifty, but I think the scene works better without it.
