Originally, the role of Leonid Pushkin was going to be Alexis Gogol in The Living Daylights, but when Walter Gotell fell ill, EON cast a new actor and created the role of Pushkin to replace Gogol. Consequently, the name of Gogol's secretary/girlfriend Rublevitch was changed to Rubavitch (and a new actress was cast) to show that her character was different.Yep. Good old Rublevitch was in The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy.
There is also a "Rubavitch" in The Living Daylights. Is that meant to be the same person? Is it the girlfriend of Pushkin?
I'm not sure about who danced during From Russia With Love's credits, but Lisa Guiraut is the real name of the belly dancer seen at the gypsy camp later in the film. She may be better known to Bond fans by her stage name that's used in the credits--Leila.
Interesting...I had always read that it was a belly dancer named Lisa Guiraut who worked the London clubs at the time.
Intersting, never heard that particular name. I've read a few books that give credit to Beswick, but who know's what's right.
