Is there any truth to the Barbara Bach rumors?

Is there any truth to this? I wouldnt put it past them, they've always had ideas to have past Bond girls come back, in fact I believe I read a rumor where the producers thought about having Ursula Andress reprise her role in LALD (that was dropped because they didnt think a new Bond should have a relationship with a past Bond's Bond girl).

The rumor goes that the Bond producers wanted to get Bach back (wow that was lame) for another flick with Moore before he left. So they were going to give her a small role in AVTAK, the role that ended up becoming Pola Ivanova (played by Fiona Fullerton). I doubt the dialogue would have been that much different, we probably wouldnt have gotten the joke about "red roses." But other than that the scene would have played the same.
Yes, the Pola character was originally supposed to be Anya Amasova, but the name was changed when Bach turned down the part.
She was after all Mrs. Ringo Starr by that time.

While we are on the subject of cameos in AVTAK, does Maud Adams actually appear in the background of one scene (in San Francisco) or not??
Thanks.

Now, how come CBn has gotten away with keeping this screen-cap from an official EON Bond flick on the site?

It's always cool to see CBn uncover mysteries like this one.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for her next time I watch the movie.

And also it says she is the only woman to appear in 3 Bond films, but of course Lois Maxwell, Judi Dench and Samantha Bond have all also appeared in more than one.

Interesting. I also thought it was amusing that Maud herself didn't know until she saw it.

LOL - Good point. It didn't even occur to me. The article should refer to her as a Bond girl, rather than a woman in a Bond movie.

Didn't Gogol's "secretary" also appear in multiple films

LOL, yes she did. I think I was most surprised to see her turn up in Octopussy. I didn't realise Gogol let her out "in public"!

Yep. Good old Rublevitch (Eva Reuber-Staier) was in The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy.

Of course Maud Adams is the only woman to have been in three Bond films in three different roles.

It could have been OctoPussy and her American boyfriend who were roaming around Fisherman's wharf. So technically 2 women in 3 flicks.

But what happened to all the Octopussy girls?

Hmmm....methinks she would have said something to Bond...asking why he had not returned from his trip to get cogarettes from the corner convenience store two years earlier.

How is it that Bond seems incapable of staying in a long term relationship with all these incredible looking women. Personally, I would still be in the escape pod with Anya Amasova.

There is also a "Rubavitch" in The Living Daylights. Is that meant to be the same person? Is it the girlfriend of Pushkin?

Come on, folks, dust off the cobwebs from your memory banks. one of the two gypsy fighting girls in FRWL and the British Secret Service agent assisting 007 in the Bahamas were both played by Martine Beswick...
Yep...I thought about that too, and I think Beswick does come the closest to beating Maud Adams claim to three Bond movies as three different characters.
Close, but no cigar

Interesting...I had always read that it was a belly dancer named Lisa Guiraut who worked the London clubs at the time.
Intersting, never heard that particular name. I've read a few books that give credit to Beswick, but who know's what's right.

I dunno...maybe we can make a four-page thread out of this "discussion." LOL (just kidding).
